Four Of Clubs SLP-S
Gosport Borough v Bracknell Town

I went to this. Bracknell won 4-0, but two of those goals were very late in the game, and made it look much more comfortable than it really was. Bracknell's keeper had play really well in the second half to prevent Gosport from equalising, but the second goal killed the game, until the late flurry.

Bracknell did show a lot of commitment, but it maybe helped to be playing a Gosport side who are really on the slide. They've only won one of the last 15 now, and that was v bottom-placed North Leigh.

A good splash of red at the game too. Possibly more than I've seen at home games in the past.

AthleticoSpizz Aldershot calling?

Well they’ve been managerless at the Rec since sacking Mark Molesley about a month ago so it’s certainly a possibility. Whether it is about to be announced or not they’ve certainly not rushed into a decision down there.

Bit of an era ending though at Slough as the two of them have been there since leaving Bracknell almost 10 years ago. Not sure whether the same “request permission” protocol is necessary outside of the top 4 divisions, but they have resigned as a pair so it does suggest something might be in the offing somewhere.

I see one time Reading prospect, Scott Davies (with Lee Togwell and Manny Williams) has been put in temp. charge of team affairs starting with the trip to Maidenhead in the B&B tonight.

Notts County looking likely to smash the attendance record for a National League game with just 800 home tickets left on sale as of yesterday for their game v Yeovil.

Currently means they are on for a crowd of over 14k.

I very much doubt it would be an all time record for non-league as the old Southern League would have seen massive crowds but I imagine it must be close to a record for the "modern era" i.e. non-league in its current form.

I remember looking for this before and it's held by Notts County for National League at 13k ish
No idea about old Southern League etc but you're probably right in that they would have beaten this
Amazing turn out anyway

Believe that the highest ever attendance for a non-league league game is 16,254 for Dulwich Hamlet v Nunhead Athletic (which I think was a local derby) on 10 October 1931 in what is now the Isthmian Premier League. In more modern times Peterborough United clocked 13,431 v Boston United in the Midland League in August 1956. The most recent records in the National League was first the 11,085 that saw Bristol Rovers destroy Alfreton 7-0 in April 2015 then the 12,843 which Notts County managed v Solihull last season and that is where things are currently.

If they’re calling it a sell out then I would presume all records will be broken as Meadow Lane has a capacity of around 19,500 so if you allow for Yeovil fans not being too bothered then I would presume the attendance would be circa 17,500-18,000.

Presume though that the gates at Dulwich and Peterborough could still be argued as better overall though as they’re very unlikely to have been running “kid for a quid” type schemes.

Can’t help but hope Yeovil turn up and spoil the party (it’s what Forest fans would want after all).

Presume that’s Bracknell’s way of getting into the right frame of mind for the slightly more difficult trip to Tonbridge on Saturday in the Trophy.

In very local Sunday league football

Our very own Burghfield are in the 3rd round of the FA Sunday cup, playing against Baiteze Mile End from London

Baiteze won it last season, taking away 5 or 6 years of teams from Newcastle and Liverpool winning it (Liverpool has supposedly got the absolute best Sunday league in the country)

They beat Highgate Albion last year in the final at The Den Millwall, and they are a very good side who won the London Sunday cup twice in a row and have won their league, which is probably the hardest in London to win , 3 years in a row.

Baiteze are one of the "YouTube" teams who film games and make content but are very very good footballers, basically all semi pro players. Will be a tough game but if Burghfield can get a win then they will be in the last 16. SE Don's who also film their games and do content are also in the same round, and are also very very good footballers made up of semi pro players from Hythe Town and Kent South London teams
