Allocation of 3094, feels like the club have grossly underestimated the demand.

Sheffield's game V Wrexham is also on TV late Sunday so there's a good chance the league game due that weekend will be scheduled later in season

3,094 is a paltry allocation. Some of our fans will miss out. Should have taken a 6k allocation. It's like Man City in 2010 all over again.

I hear that hotels are very expensive for Utd evening games. I can't see us getting close to the 3k mark to be honest - I think more people would be up for driving up to an early kick off and getting home at a reasonable time than they would be doing this. But then again, it's better than Friday/Monday evening.

Hmm our away support has been ok this season, I think we'll sell it out. We have enough day trippers of our own, plus a load of our season ticket holders also support Man Utd. Suppose we've played them a lot in the cup but I feel like we've underestimated the demand.

I'll probably travel up and back on the day, save money on hotels as I'm also doing Sunderland away.

Possibly the ideal time for me, it's only just over an hour away so it's a comfortable drive there and back, will probably get back for midnight-ish which is reasonable. Glad it's worked out quite well.

Surely the club will put some coach travel on for supporters? I know it's not ideal for those travelling from Reading but surely we could muster up 5k fans for this game at least if we had plenty of coaches coming up? How far is it 3-4 hours? Suppose 2am isn't great to be getting back in at though for fans travelling.

Coaches will take longer than 3-4 hours, particularly with a stop.

Yeah I thought about it afterwards and you're probably looking at a 4 hour journey back down, ticket itself will be £46 for most, coach could be an extra £20 (although don't really know as I've never been on one) and then there is all the food and drink before the game and stuff, you could quite easily be looking at a 10/11 hour night, getting in at 2-3am and spending the best part of £100-150 and that's for those who just travel home, let alone those who want to make a day/night of it as I'm sure there will be some. Not great for any working class fan.

It's an 8pm kickoff in the dry January post Xmas extravagance during winter and a cost of living crisis with no public transport back that night, versus a team that's no longer big dog that we played just 4 years ago.

Chance of us selling 5/6k tickets to actual Reading fans is minimal.

Well, when you're wrong you're wrong.

Though . . . . . it does seem like the club has seriously balls this up in terms of making it as easy as possible for people to tout these tickets. I'd imagine that quite a large number of people in Reading (fans or otherwise) have at least 25 points and would have known that they can resell these easily.

I think it's questionable how many actual Reading fans want to go to this game. I mean - if it's casuals who just want the fun of a trip to Old Trafford then that's perfectly fair. But i'm worried it's more people just reselling to their utd mates in Reading (and beyond).
