Should have capitalised when Sunderland were asleep in the first half but as usual can’t create anything clear cut. ZERO wins in SIX now and another failure to beat a weaker side. Hope something goes right against Rotherham on Tuesday.

Still have no idea why people were so keen on Rahman coming back. He couldn't defend last season, but at least he had a decent cross on him, now he doesn't even have that.

In what world are Sunderland weaker than us?

So, spent first half timewasting when Sunderland were there for the taking. Then as the game is increasingly drifting away, make a negative substitution that rearranges the defence into a far worse format and we almost instantly concede.

There's no way around it, that's poor management.

Roberts loves us. Always scored against us at youth level, and always scores against us at senior level too.

Snowflake Royal And there it is. Sarr can't cover and Rahman completely oxf*rd up and gift Sunderland a goal.

Absolute horror show substitution from Ince and Rahman continues to be utterly useless.

Rahman is absolute toilet yet he gets in every game. Really need to drop him, can’t have one accident waiting to happen (Sarr) covering the other.

Have to say Ince really cocked up the team selection. Both NGW and Azeez should have started. Certainly wouldn’t have done worse and the team would have had more threat.

In what world are Sunderland weaker than us?

In the sense that they were pretty poor and there to be beaten first half?

They've been bang average today.

You have to wonder if we're on the hook for more of Rahman's wages if he doesn't play. Can't fathom why he's playing otherwise.

Sunderland’s performance has been very slow on the day, it’s not until the second half their threat has started to appear. A more positive team selection may have given Reading the breathing space to weather Sunderland starting to turn up.

Got what they deserved for another dire and negative away performance. Baba needs dropping, Ince had a mare, and absolutely no creativity anywhere. Long is way past his sell by date, Carroll did alright.

Meite can't play as striker.

Ince can't create something out of nothing all the time.

Sarr is poor.

Rahman is absolutely dreadful. Why do you try and drag back and turn on the edge of your own six yard box, area packed with attackers. Don’t come back to Reading, oxf*rd off straight back to Chelsea you waste of space chancer.

Rotherham is important. Win that and we are looking safe. Lose and we could be dragged into a scrap.
It feels like a long time since we won a League game.

Losing by one goal playing away at a team fighting for the play off spots obviously isn't a disaster. And I understand what Ince is doing - after multiple seasons of having a side that could collapse at any moment, we do have a bit of backbone now.

But man, the sheer lack of ambition. It reminds me a bit of when Mourinho takes a team and just batters the creativity/free flowing football out of them.

I'm assuming that we'll continue picking up enough points against the weaker sides to stay out of the relegation battle. But i'm not looking forward to the rest of the season.

Snowflake Royal Presuming we'll shape up as:

.......................Lumley
.......Yiadom, Mbengue, Sarr
Hoilett, .........McIntyre, ......Rahman
.................Hendrick, Ince
..................Carroll, Long.

Left side of defence looks like a calamity, and we'll be lucky to create anything.

So, within 6 minutes of the left side of defence actually looking like that, we concede. And we created nothing but massive swing and misses.

What a shock. Wake up Paul.

I’m shocked we lost given that Ince has an obsession on mentioning about tiredness given Sunderland played midweek and we didn’t

Still, I’m sure he’ll whinge about having to play Friday night
