I thought it was 27,500 v Southampton. But 1995 was pre-Hillsborough.

I never watched the 1995 Play Off at the time. We were on holiday in France, so took advantage of Radio 5's reach to the northern shores
of Brittany and listened to it in the old Fiat Panda. We did sort for someone to tape it. Never watched that. Put it in its cardboard case, put it next to the Jon Pertwee collection and left it at that.

So, coming back from Leicester in 2006, couple of cans of beer from the corner shop, put the VHS on and finally watched the game in full.

Once is enough tho'.

As an aside, the other play off semi (Bolton vs Wolves) makes the 1995 PlayOffs almost peak football. We all know our 2 legs inside out, the other side of the draw is also a delight.

Horrible day. Being taunted by troglodites didn't help.

But totally repaid when they got relegated and we beat them at Elm Park, with Quinn in goal iirc.

Younger and sillier back then a bunch of us went round the ground after the match and mercilesly wound the sh*t out of some extremely angry and windupable northern folk for the rest of the afternoon.

I have just actually looked up Crisp on Wikipedia and it turns out that he ran 3 more races including another race with Red Rum, but this time with similar weights, and Crisp won easily.
