It's a real insight into why people elsewhere moan about the British media (and fans) hype when it comes to football here. The bloke is one of the best midfielders of his generation and has won the CL 5 times in recent years in arguably the best side in football in those years, but his move to a team who struggle to win things now and are playing in the Europa League apparently means he has elevated himself and found a new gear!
