Brum Royal Burnley's remaining 12 games (with current league position):
Blackpool (a) 23rd
Wigan (h) 24th
Hull (a) 16th
Blackburn (a) 4th
Sunderland (h) 9th
Middlesbrough (a) 3rd
Sheff Utd (h) 2nd
Reading (a) 14th
Rotherham (a) 20th
QPR (h) 18th
Bristol City (a) 13th
Cardiff (h) 21st

Potentially sticky patch from Blackburn to Sheff Utd (or even us given our home record)

Tough to see them dropping many points in those games really, Blackpool and Wigan might represent tougher games than what meets the eye due to it being a derby game. Hopefully it is that period from Blackburn to us that scuppers them.

Blackburn is a big local derby. Rovers will be well up for that.

True - but that was likely to be a tough game anyway due to their position, whereas normally you'd "expect" to be beating the 2 sides at the bottom, they just might be slightly tougher due to the fact they are considered derbies (even though Wigan and Blackpool aren't really all that close to Burnley).

Meanwhile even the likely winding up of Southend on Wednesday won’t change the fact that the record is likely to be blown away in tier 5 by Wrexham and/or Notts County who have 81 and 83 points respectively and more than 10 games left each.

Neither Wigan or Blackpool see Burnley as a Derby or a rivalry.

Wigan have hardly ever played them (24 times in total) and see their main derbies as the Gtr Manchester clubs (Bolton, Rochdale) and Preston

Blackpool are 50 miles away and have bigger derbies with Preston and Bolton.

Burnley see Bradford as a bigger rival than either.

Can't see Wigan or Blackpool getting anywhere near Burnley. Fair enough Wigan have only lost 1 of 5 under Maloney but they've only beaten Huddersfield.

I've only ever thought they were as my mate is a Burnley fan and he and his Dad have had a season ticket for years and they said they considered them a "rival", although absolutely nowhere near to the same extent of Blackburn obviously, just because of "locality".

I'm sure they all do have bigger derbies or rivalries than each other, they've just said they prefer the bragging rights over Lancashire (a lot of clubs to beat) which, in fairness, they've done this season.

But yeah, I can't see Wigan or Blackpool pulling off anything special against Burnley either.

That Blackpool resilt was a massive surprise. Getting slightly nervous about Sheffield Wednesday, although they have 3 tricky fixtures coming up.

Championship
Burnley - 110pts

League 1
Sheff Wed - 113pts
Plymouth - 107pts

If Wednesday do it, we’ll still have the Championship record…which is obviously more important 8)

I so wanted us to buy Barry Bannan in 2020. Such a good playmaker and creator.

Realistically down to two now, there's no way Plymouth win everything from here.

So from the first three and the slightly "easier" fixtures (based on league position, they've dropped two points. Now comes the tricky run for Burnley which will hopefully see them drop a few more

You must have jinxed them because they got dicked 3-0 on Saturday, so down to Burnley and Sheffield Wednesday, honestly Wednesday could well do it, their last 12 games don't look amazingly difficult but having 2 games in hand means they might suffer from fixture congestion. I think one thing pushing them as well is the fact that despite everything, they remain only 5pts clear of 3rd so there's been no automatic or 1st place secured so no reason to slow down.

Burnley have a tougher run in and I think with how far clear they are, they could well start slowing down soon, especially as they are very soon going to secure automatic promotion.

2-1 down at half-time.

Come on Barnsley, give us something to be happy about.

I just want Sheff Wed and Burnley to be out by the time we play Burnley so we can chant "We've got the record" as we're getting smashed 4-0
