Yes - Not won since end of Feb and post World Cup have been playing like a bottom 3 team. The idea that we are good enough to win back to back matches isn't something I believe in. Add to that the other teams forms and fixtures remaining makes it all the more difficult.

14 points from our last 20 games would suggest a resounding yes.

Yes.

In fact, I'd be (pleasantly) surprised if we pick up another point this season.

I think we will win both our last two games
and the EFL will realise there was a typo in the report
and they will give us our six points back, we finish on 55
points.

Take it to the last game, where there is every possibility, we have a real chance.

Its Wigan and Hudds we are playing.

Need to remember 7 of last 10 games have been against top 8 sides.

Based on my rant the other day I'm resigned to the drop. So if we stay up I'll be delerious.

THIS!

In our last 10 games we have either drawn or lost by a single goal.

Those games, we have played (current positions)

1
2
3
5
7
8
10
14
15
17

1-2 Coventry (5)
1-1 Luton (3)
0-0 Burnley (1)
1-2 Preston (10)
1-1 Birmingham (17)
1-1 Bristol City (14)
1-1 Hull (15)
1-2 Blackburn (8)
0-1 Millwall (7)
0-1 Sheffield Utd (2)

Now we are playing (current positions)

24
23

SECOND, our playing ability
(ie without the six point penalty)
would put us in 18th place,
two points and a much better GD than QPR

We cannot know what will go on in the heads of
the Reading, Wigan and Huddersfield players

but applying reasonable logic, team-quality etc
we should beat Wigan and could easily win at
Huddersfield

Impressive.

But not true. Huddersfield are not even in the relegation places, let alone 23rd

Looking at the responses from the Star thing tonight, I feel a bit more optimistic if we go down, but they're just words right now, I think the owners need to earn trust and belief right now.

I think we'll need two wins, and i just don't see us getting two wins!! If we can get Hoilett, Ince, Meite, Long and McIntyre back fit then it may make us competitive and you just never know.
However, these guys who might return haven't played for weeks and don't have a full game in them. Whatever happens, we need to start on the front foot against Wigan and get the first goal and the crowd behind us!! then anything is possible, but its a yes to the drop i think.

Someone mentioned earlier that staying up will only prolong the inevitable!! and he may be right....maybe the club needs a reset, it'll be much easier to reset in Div 1 than the chumpionship!! unless we strike real lucky and let's not forget, if we do stay up we'll have the EFL on our backs again next season trying to relegate us again.

I look at clubs like Ipswich, Derby, Sheff Weds etc...and see the resurgence they have made by resetting. Some take longer than others to get back, however, we slowly seem to be moving in the right direction and with a clever head like Bowen behind the scenes and hopefully the continued backing from Dai and you just never know!!!

Football's a funny old game.

Appointing the right manager and getting the whole town believing again is key to any future success. Look at the sudden belief when Ince got booted and Hunt took over!! A clever and shrewd appointment will rejuvenate the club.

I would like O'Shea to be given a chance with maybe a Murty/Hunt type person in the set up also. Someone who knows the club inside and out and will galvanize the fan base.

Wasn’t Middlesbrough in that lot somewhere?

But yeah we’ve been a bit unlucky in the run really, we’ve not been blown away just haven’t been able to pick up the 2-3 wins needed. Some big missed opportunities in there
