Potential New Owners

by Stranded » 25 May 2023 10:19

According to EddieRFC7 on that there Twitter, who does seem to be more ITK than most - the club is currently attracting interest from multiple parties internationally, including from the Middle East.

Dai not desperate to sell but is willing to listen to proposals.

Interesting.

Yay, just what we need another season of "what the hell is going on behind the scenes".

Definitely interesting. It would be something that, whilst might cause a bit of short-term uncertainty, if we were to try and push the deal through promptly then I think most fans would be encouraged, knowing that new owners could improve the situation from the last 5 years.

Obviously nothing concrete or anything, but something to be aware of.

Anyone know of any multi billionaires of impeccable virtue looking to waste money at the third level of English football?

They’ve been open to sell for a few years now. Hopefully it’s not just another dodgy owner if the interest is serious.

Not sure on this really. You’d hope Dai has learnt some lessons in his time. In terms of a new owner being an improvement - who knows.

Not jumping up for joy at the thought of an owner from the Middle East either - can’t see how it’d be significantly better than Dai

Would rather Dai hung about, kept funding the debts we have and left Bowen to get on with things

But he clearly hasn't learnt anything since killing 2 football clubs and now making mistake after mistake here.

This might not be helpful when trying to recruit a new manager, but who knows.

Dai looking to sell up? :D

Potential buyers middle-eastern :x

Odds of a rich middle eastern buyer without links to corruption and human rights abuses? Slim.

Your memory is faulty. I thought Anton's local links were a positive, and that he wasn’t his father who was obviously corrupt as a post Soviet billionaire, so it wasn’t definitely awful, but I certainly wasn't mad keen on Boris.

I clearly remember supportive posts when Pog came in. Didn't matter where the money came from then.

Again, your memory is faulty, because the rumours of £60k a week had me very worried.
