NathStPaul This will either go incredibly well for Spurs or be a complete disaster, can't see there being a middle ground.

Business as normal then?

I just think Spurs should have gone for a bit of a steady Eddie. If none of the bigger names would come then I would have gone for Brendan Rodgers. To be fair to him for 3 years he did a pretty decent job with Leicester, had them competing near the top. Won everything with Celtic and before that nearly won Liverpool the league title. He has that experience of Premier League football that big Ange lacks. Yes it wouldn't have been an exciting appointment but you could pretty much guarantee he would improve the team.

Just think Ange might be a bit too much of a risk in their current plight.

Brace yourself for 'ange' for the next few months.

'Pep' Vs 'Ange' is going to be unbearable

It doesn't matter who Daniel Levy brings in, they are all met with the same obstacles that hold the club back, and that's Daniel Levy...

I think its a massive gamble for Big Ange. He's won trophies at pretty much every top flight club he's managed and Celtic's the only club he's been at where there's been an expectation to win and he's done the domestic treble both seasons.

Yeah, but didn't he get the Cardiff job basically because he was cheap and already at the club?

Much like the Chinese Super League I expect to see the trend of well known European figures going over to play/manage in the Saudi league and much like the Chinese Super League I expect the bubble to burst fairly quickly.

Probably sacked around Christmas before "retiring" and then coming back out of retirement in March to firefight somewhere else.

Wonder if the saved from relegation bonus and a few months wages after that gets you more money than working on your normal wage for 12 months.

That was my thoughts - great routine. Keep them up, get sacked. Go somewhere else, keep them up, get sacked. etc You get Nov to Mar off - have a busy Apr - May, put your feet up pre season doing fcuk all ready for October to get another barrowfull of money.

Lovely.
