A brilliant documentary put together featuring behind the scenes footage etc of Basingstoke Town becoming League Champions. Documentary starts from the Walton and Hersham game and for those with an interest in Non-League it is worth a watch.

In other news, the club are finalising plans for a new stadium (business case) and that will be put forward to the council very soon. Appears to be positive progress.

Has it got a special feature on all the racism, homophobic chanting and hooliganism demonstrated by the Basingstoke supporters?

Royals and Racers Marlow’s appeal win has upset everyone bar Marlow FC :D
The Southern league and Isthmian league are both upset about now having leagues with different numbers of teams.

Well that shouldn't last long surely as they've got to replace Marlow with another club!

Not sure it happens like that.

Not cessanarily . :? .... they could well decide to avoid any further grief that will ensue by 'shuttling' someone else about ..... and just run both Step04 divisions with odd numbers?
(21 & 19 ??)

I'll keep an eye on NLM for any other 'shifts' ... the perceived & public outrage and ruffled Anoraks over there .... sometimes far outweighs what most clubs and fans appear to suffer.
.... in this case it seems Marlow lodged an appeal and based it around a not unreasonable question, of what thought process was behind the 'forced' re-allocation for them back into the SL.
That their case was upheld so promptly says all it needs to about that ..... :P :P

The bloke in a wheelchair who sits next to the tunnel every game is potentially one of the vilest people I've ever heard.

The majority of them are at it to be honest, they have been a disgrace every time I have seen them play. Says it all when the club themselves have to put out statements begging for their supporters not to be racist.

Didcot have issued a statement stating that due to funding issues they cannot install the 4g pitch in time for the 2023/4 season but hope to do so in time for 2024/5 season.

Work about to start at Basingstoke Town's ground to increase the seating and standing behind both goals and to increase the seating in the main stand (if you can call it that). Club house is being built next to the main stand and should be finished by the Autumn.

Business plan and designs for new stadium are close to being finalised and will be presented to those that matter very soon. Preferred location is on the Basingstoke Leisure Park but they are receptive to other ideas.

A new stadium is wasted on Basingstoke isn't it? The FA will be making them play a lot of games behind closed doors due to their abusive supporters.

Where do Reading YMCA play and which Winkfield is the home of AFC Winkfield? Is the TVPL step 7/tier 11? Have Windsor definitely "folded" now or just listed as "disappeared"?

Reading YMCA play at the Cauldron in Padworth. Nice pitch, one of my favourites to play at.

Winkfield play at Locks Ride, not sure if that will change next season though after their promotion to the Premier League. Locks Ride is a bit of a shithole so they might want to look into a ground share elsewhere.

The Premier League and Division 1 (I think) of the TVPL are step 7, below that it is step 8.

Not sure on the Windsor situation, RR is your man for that.

Thanks. Didn't realise Winkfield were as Locks Ride, agree it's a bit of a dump having played there myself. The various Saturday kids clubs that use it can't help pitch things too much either!

Newbury FC ( ex Hellenic ) have been put in TV league Div 1 - however they are homeless and are looking to ground share with someone.

Windsor and Eton (the club who will be playing at Stag Meadow) have announced that all home games will be free admission next season.

Nice move.

(Meanwhile, Windsor FC have 1 week to find a home / groundshare or will not have a place in the CCL.)

Well, one would certainly hope so, but we don’t know who’ll be playing for them yet, so bit early to call.

30 minute interview with Mark Cooper, co-owner of Windsor and Eton. Interesting for those with, ermm, an interest in what’s been going on, and the plans for the future.

Respectful with, as one would probably expect, no dirt dished on Kevin Stott.

Croydon Athletic. The new Wrexham, maybe.

The club has new owners - no less than footballer Wilfried Zaha, and rapper Stormzy, both of whom grew up in the borough.
