He’d be a big yes from me but I think Brentford want him to play in the championship.

(Going to spoil the fun).

Seems we've been linked with a few RB's in the last few days, I wonder what this means for Yiadom's place in the squad as well as Abrefa's. Obviously only rumours and nothing concrete so who knows if it's true, but could it mean that one (or both) are on their way out?

Apparently Yiadom has had some kind surgery recently as he wasn't back in training yesterday. Guess it depends on how long he takes to recover as to whether we need additional cover in that position. I'm not saying this is the sole reason we're looking at alternatives mind.

Yeah just seen that after posting this. Just speculating as to whether it means he might be one to move on, he obviously signed a contract last season as well which might include some sort of relegation clause that we've seen with both Sarr and Ince. Or it could just be cover for a long-term injury. Either would be believable with us.

Would we have received a fee for Sarr?

He still had 3 years so I would imagine, like Ince there was probably a release clause, hence why he oxf*rd off before the club could even react to the deal, he knew they were meeting the release clause so went out ASAP.

With that in mind, would imagine the fee is somewhere between £0-50k

As we run out of centrebacks Yiadom and having some pace (which we desperately need there) may end up there instead of RB. But I could just be trawling for positives.

Not so sure I'd be keen on him at CB as a 2, assuming we end up playing that way.

Also, not saying pace isn't a nice attribute to have, but I don't think it's a necessity. Plenty of strong defences have got by previously without having much pace. I'd be more inclined to want my CB's to be able to read the game correctly and have better positioning, rather than pace. If you've got that ability, then you'll be fine in most circumstances.

The other club in for him is Blackpool so he’ll want to be very close to the sea.
