blythspartan It looks like Hendrick might be one of the 26.

One poster on Twitter thinks it might be. The person they are suggesting it is, looks more like Sam Hutchinson to me.

blythspartan Purely for financial reasons this is a day to celebrate. I have nothing against Liam Moore but it’s his last pay day today and his salary can help pay 5 to 7 players at this level.

I just hope that the club can sort out the financial mess that it’s in so that we have a team to support next season.

I'd say more like 8-10 players at League One level

If Hendrick is going then I would assume that we've resolved the non-payment of loan wages issue.

He's not in the photo. It's Hutchinson.

Yeah 26 players but most will be academy players from the U23's and possibly even U18's. We don't have that many first team players as it is. Bit of a pain for those who may end up joining as we are in Spain currently.

Someone has also "figured out" that Walcott appears to have been training and is in the video but you don't see his face.

Hmm, didn’t see that though guess it’s common knowledge he is training with us

Also from Twitter earlier today

Bloke bumped into McIntyre and Lumley. Lumley said he's not planning on coming back. Tom said he didn't know anything about the rumours regarding him leaving.

Depends how you define them.

Bouzanis, Andresson, Yiadom, Holmes, McIntyre, Guiness-Walker, Hutchinson, Ejaria, Azeez, Carroll are all undisputedly first team players. That's 10.

Abrefa, Jahmari, Ehibhatiomhan, Camara all have mutlipe first team appearances and plenty of squad involvement. They should be expected to be part of the first team squad. That's 14.

Abbey, Senga, Craig, Boyce-Clarke, John Clarke have all made their debut and mostly been part of multiple first team squads. And should be expecting to compete for they first team squad. That's 19.

Dorsett is just back from a loan he should be expected as first team. That's 20.

There's hardly many makeweights

I'd group Jokull in with Dorsett. They're in a similar boat, loans to a good level last season. Dorsett has made his debut, Jokull hasn't, but that's mostly academic (unless you're Jokull).

A few triallists and a few makeweights.

Nine young players have signed new paperwork on professional contracts with the Royals for 2023-24 ✍

John Clarke
Matt Carson
Hamid Abdel-Salam
Tom Norcott
Caylan Vickers
Harvey Maudner
Jeremiah Okine-Peters
Basil Tuma
Jacob Hammond-Chambers-Borgnis

Don't know if any are first team ready, perhaps -

John Clarke formally accepted the offer of a new deal, Hamid Abdel-Salam has signed a new contract rather than triggering an extension on his existing deal and Matt Carson has put his signature across paperwork which now permits him to play a part for the first team rather than terms restricting him to Under-21s football.
