Next seasons kit choice?

God awful idea, Reading is such a dump of a town, silhouettes of various nondescript highrises and a bridge. Works OK with the lion on the away shirt but then that's about the only memorable item in Reading.

Still it's a slight improvement on the stupid hoop thing of last season.

Macron have generally been good, bar the sleeves on last years home kit, which wasn't really down to them, but that home shirt is horrendous.

For me the ideal shirt combination should be something old fashioned and traditional for the home shirt, and something so crap it's great for the away shirt.

If that skyline pattern was part of an away shirt, then big thumbs up. But as part of the home shirt? Yuck.

However, they away kit looks really good. Up close anyway. From a distance it'll probably look like you've dropped your beer down your front.

It's not like Reading has a particular iconic skyline that needed immortalising in shirt form. Lion on the away shirt may look better when we see the shirt properly.

Someone's gone to a hell of a lot of effort if they're fake. I like the away one, but looks more like a training top. The home one is horrific imho.

The problem is that Reading doesn't really have that many iconic things in it. The lion, the bridge and the Abbey gate maybe. The other buildings could be from almost anywhere, and if you'd showed me those silhouettes with no context then I'd probably not have thought "oh yes, that's Reading".

They'd have been better off sticking to a smaller number of more iconic images. Maybe throw an elm tree in there as well, as a nod to the past.
