[From Despair To Where?]

Never really got the hate for Savage Snr, a niggly player who played to his strengths and wore his heart on a sleeve. As Ian said, a player you'd love to have on your side but hate to play against. I guess it's down to a perceived off field flamboyance.

If Charlie's anywhere near as good as his dad, we'll have a decent player on our hands and his Dad took a similar step down from the United youth team early in his career to a team with a pedigree in developing young players which didn't seem to harm him.

His dad has said a number of times that we are his second favourite team as a result of the 2011 standing ovation. I was there and it was an amazing reception for a non RFC player. Looks like we will be seeing a lot more of Robbie at the SCLS.

Me too. A player you hate on the other team but would love on yours. Gave everything on the pitch. And had his moments as a pundit.

Fully deserved the standing ovation we gave him. It was a pleasure participating.

Yeah he’s a bit of a clown but liked him after the work he has done to promote and support grassroots. Was a bit of a lone voice during lockdown etc
