Hound Do feel getting in striker (Stansfield for example) is vital in the next few days with Smith out

+1 but who knows, Carroll, Ehibatiomhan, Azeez and Knibbs could turn into league one goal scoring sensations… I won’t hold my breath though.

Think they’ll all chip in but was really expecting Smith to be the main man in terms of the scoring

Would hope for at least 10 from Carroll and an average of more than 5 each across the other 3. 5+ from Wing too. Then 15+ from Smith.

Just typical. Hasn’t missed a game for 2 years then breaks when he gets here before he plays a game.

Snowflake Royal Just think were we could be with an owner that paid the bills so we had Wilder in charge and a pre-season with timely signings.

Nope. No. Shan’t do that. Far too depressing playing what ifs.

At some point in the second half my mind might have wandered there though..

Centre halves > winger > overlapping wingbacks > cross > deflect for corner > hit corner too deep > repeat.

Did we try anything else all game?

I'll tell you one thing I've not enjoyed about the game.

Leaving home at 9.30 am to get there. Stevange fans refusing to close the doors on the last train to Cambridge and now a passenger needing assistance, so stuck at Hitchin.

I'm not getting home til gone 10 pm at this rate.

Give me back sweet sweet RoyalsTV and only spending 100 minutes on games.

Couple of through balls. Some balls over the top to chase. Couple of Carroll knock downs.

But in comfort, between other things and at my convenience. Not bored rigid on a train.

22k steps in the pissing rain today and 3k to go. My feet hurt.

What a prospect Caylan Vickers is. Only 18 and straight from the U 18’s into the 1st team squad. ( only 6 appearances for the U 21’s) We have a real talent there.

The most impressive thing for me is that he really could of just gone into his shell or even just played things super safe!! yet here he is just doing his thing and running at defender's without a care in the world!!
I really don't want to over hype the young lad, but if i were Bowen i would be keeping a special eye on his progress and have that contract ready before the vultures arrive and trust me they'll be here soon enough!!!!

It's about time we get a break on our academy stars and if he does turn out to be another so called "Oliese" then lets at least make sure we get the right amount of money in our pockets!!

Has there ever been a more overhyped academy product than Femi Azeez?

Don't think so. He was bang average today, he has a big season ahead of him. He needs to improve his end product which lacks, and he doesn't support full backs great either.

He will get there though

I think there was some promise.
Savage was excellent. Always looking for space and wanting the ball, even though he faded in the second half. Guiness Walker and Mbuenge were very good going forward and were our biggest threats in the second half. Knibbs totally anonymous, and I cannot agree that Hutchinson was good - the game passed him by completely.
Carroll didn't look fit but we have to remember this team is embryonic and will develop, especially when Dean comes in as I'm not the biggest fan of Holmes and Tmac as our CH pairing. Bouzanis made two great saves in the first half but was in no man's land for their goal. Not convinced by him yet.

Overhyped by whom? Certainly not our fans.

Thought Knibbs, on the other wing, didn't exactly shine with his defensive covering either both really need to do better in that area.
