leon Well quite. Mings is a Grade A cnut. He'd previously stamped on Ibrahimovic deliberately.

Absolutely no sympathy for the animal.

Yeah. One of my favourite moments was Ipswich fans chanting “he stamped on your face, he stamped on your face” then he celebrated in front of them.

Chelsea and Spurs look transformed under new management which is good to see.

Caught the last 30 minutes of Chelsea v Liverpool. Great to see 2 players booked for waving an imaginary card. Should stamp it out.

NathStPaul Not sure you know how football works. Well, we all know you don't.

The season doesn't finish after the first game of the season. HTH.

Ah right, so you were one of the clowns who said Villa would be a candidate then it seems.

Agree, got no time for sh*thouses like him. When you're making challenges like that, you know exactly what you're doing.

I personally enjoyed all the criticism towards him when he was underperforming at Villa. To this day, no clue how he's managed to put on an England shirt at any point of his career.

No I just understand football and how it works. If you listen to the experts around here you might pick up some knowledge.

In fairness the one on Mac Allister was a yellow or should have been but agree with the point.

Thought that sort of thing had been stamped out a long time ago. Seems to have made a bit of a resurgence. As long as the refs are 100% on it, should go fairly quickly.

I see a lot of people complaining about the guy at Rotherham for being given a second yellow and then a red for it - have zero sympathy at all, you know the rules and so do I.

Irrelevant. Leaves the referees to referee. Pleased to see this is being addressed. Also enjoyed the double booking for Fernandez and Jota. Couple of gobshites going head to head after a nothing challenge.

Officiating was excellent over the weekend and rightly the referee's seem to be backed. Make the laws clear, laws rather than guidelines and its quite a difference. Maybe powers will be will learn from this and apply in other areas where the game needs sorting out.

Lol. A year ago Tuchel and Conte went for each other after Harry Kane's late equaliser for Conte's Spurs at Chelsea. Now both clubs are on their third manager since then and Kane plays for Tuchel at Bayern. Funny old game.

And yeah, Newcastle. They've built one hell of a team.

Yeah, really good to watch.

With Spurs and Chelsea both looking like they are going to be playing some really good football, this could be a fantastic season for the viewers.

Liverpool are almost always good to watch but, despite having some excellent defenders, the style seems to leave them very vulnerable at the back. Ready to be laughed at come the end of the season but, although they can still beat anyone in the world on their good days, I can honestly see them struggling to make Top 6.

Done his ACL I think?

I’m not one to hate someone, let alone someone I don’t even know, but it genuinely couldn’t have happened to a nicer bloke. He’s a proper pcunt. Hope his career is fcuked and he ends up in non league soon. Just a vicious bastard.

What a twat you are

Why? Because I’m vehemently against people standing on people’s faces on purpose? Every time I see him I just picture Oliveira’s face. People that do that don’t deserve anything, least of all a premier league contract.

I don’t know why I’m even engaging with a troll like you, after all an insult from a fool is a compliment.

Very strange and needless comment

Villa ended last season strongly and have seemingly recruited well. Being thumped by Newcastle is no disgrace and one match doesn’t define a season. Weren’t they something like fourth best from the point Emery took over (late October until May?). Hardly striking they they could be seen as a candidate

Yeah

Perhaps they should make it clear on the repercussions of goalkeepers punching the opposition players on the head?
