rabidbee So, in effect, this month Dai has to find 225% of the monthly wage bill. Which one presumes will be somewhat troublesome for him.
Well this years 225% of the wage bill was probably last year's 100% so what's the problem

Pepe the Horseman How much longer do we have for the 125%?

The decision mentions that we have to put that in an account and not miss a wages payment up to June '24 to avoid the 3pts coming off. So until at least then.

Sorry, I meant when does it need to be paid by?

Ah sorry, seems to be 2 schools of thought on that. Depending on if the clock started at the end of the hearing or the day the judgement is dated. If the former, which was 1st August, then needs to be in place by next Tuesday. If the latter, which I think is correct, then 12th September.

blythspartan If Dai doesn’t commit to paying 125% of wages as a safety net, but there are no further late payment of wages and tax during this season, will we just get the one suspended points deduction of 3 points?

There is currently a suspended penalty which will become active if either:
a) Dai doesn't pay the 125% into a designated account by the cut off date
b) we are as much as 1 day late paying salaries before June '24
That is the extent of the penalties, as of today.
However, if the suspension does become active - and I think we have to work on the assumption it will - then if we go on to miss a salary payment again, the EFL will simply charge us again and we would see more points removed.

3points Interesting to note Southend's 10 point deduction (albeit from the National League not the EFL) for repeated non-payment of HMRC liabilities.

But is that not a cumulative breach, rather than multiple late payments, but payments nonetheless?

windermereROYAL Hard to not look so far ahead but with only one away game before the 125% deposit deadline we could potentially be on 2 or 3 points and bottom two unless we win at Cambridge.
