Hendo I want to say someone like Doncaster in the 2006/07?
IIRC Peter Maté scored the winning pen.

I think that might have been Darlington, although I'm not 100% certain

Millsy Coventry? It's a bit like groundhog day.

Millsy I wouldn't read too much into last night's shootout. They're young excited nervous kids. Was always going to be a tough ask and they'll learn. Penalties are always going to be a lottery.

As far as I can make out the full record on penalty shoot outs is this:
Won
Lost
- Feb 1993 - Exeter City (a) (League Trophy thing) L 4-2
- Feb 1998 - Cardiff City (h) (FAC4) W 4-3
- Sep 2001 - West Ham (h) (LC2) W 6-5
- Jan 2003 - Walsall (h) (FA3) L 4-1
- Sep 2006 - Darlington (h) (LC2) W 4-2
- Sep 2008 - Stoke City (a) (LC3) L 4-3
- Sep 2010 - Northampton (h) (LC2) L 4-2
- Aug 2016 - The Franchise thing (h) (LC2) W 4-2
- May 2017 - Huddersfield (n) (POF) L 4-3
- Aug 2019 - Wycombe (a) (LC1) W 4-2
- Sep 2019 - Wolves (a) (LC3) L 4-2
- Feb 2020 - Cardiff City (a) (FAC4) W 4-1
- Aug 2023 - Ipswich Town (h) (LC2) L 4-1
So Reading have played 13 of the things and won 6, seems to be a record that's pretty much what you'd expect for any team really.
