Sutekh
Franchise FC Ok, so what price TAA scoring in this game as he should already be off

Had he gone VVD may not have committed what he did and may still be on the pitch

Obviously Klopp doesn’t agree with the VVD but kicking through someone is a foul, doing it when that player would have been clean through inside the box is lunacy.
And VVD complaining that the ball went wide …. only after you’ve kicked Isak’s foot onto it you moron

Agree with VVD sending off, utter stupidity. Don't think he's been the same player though since that bad injury.

Utterly disagree with TAA's booking. How on earth could he be judged as "kicking the ball away" when he's basically just pushed it back into the field of play, there didn't seem any intent or anger in his face so I'd say letting him off the second "offence" was fair do's.

Oh and NewcastLOLe still can't win and have let 9 men a donkey beat them (bit unfair I know on that game itself but...)

Definite frustration from Alexander-Arnold for his yellow because he was fouled and the ref didn't give it. Understandable but a definite booking.

I think Carragher has stolen Sutekh’s login details

Very exciting game at Newcastle with two cracking goals by Nunes.

The VVD sending-off was harsh if you are a Liverpool fan but deserved if you aren't.
What a nonsense though the booking of TAA-he was booked when HE had been fouled and he threw the ball back ONTO the pitch not away from the field of play.
As the pundits said later, he didn't get the 2nd booking because the ref must have realised that he made a cock-up for the first one.

Talking of bookings, the ref hardly bothered for the rest of the game when he should have given Joelinton a yellow for persistent fouling and for that twat Trippier shouting at the ref when he didn't send TAA off.
As for Gordon, pointing to the badge when he has only been there 5 minutes and is a lifelong Everton fan-lovely to see his face at the end of the game.

In interview we heard that Alisson 's English is better than that of most English players.
Lastly a lol at Howe, Tindall and the Geordie fans going on about time-wasting when Newcastle got a reputation last season as the greatest time-wasters of the whole Premier League.

The Liverpool players were entitled to their post-match celebrations having won after playing for so long with 10 men and winning at what was last season the hardest place to win at.....................unless you are Liverpool. i

And sharing it with Matt Le Tissier judging by his posts on AE.

Genuinely interested. Does it specify in the laws that if you throw or kick the ball away on purpose then you can only be booked if you kick/throw it off the pitch?

No, otherwise a fair few would get away with it by just kicking/throwing the ball away but keeping it on the pitch

Howe has done brilliantly, anyone seriously considering his removal needs to give their head a wobble. And then another one. They got Liverpool'd. This is what Klopp's team does, albeit less so in recent history. They pressed arguably higher and with more intensity after the VVD red card, and they went and won that game, rather than Newcastle losing it, even if the first goal came about from Dan Burn's mis-kick.

Since the start of last season, Newcastle have lost only two league games to teams not called Man City or Liverpool. Howe has plenty of credit.

Only Sunderland fans could boo off the ref when they are 3-0 up.

That's because they're a bunch of inbred halfwits with delusions of stature.

Some weird results today. Didn't expect Chelsea to get done at home by Forest or Middlesbrough, Leicester, Saints, West Brom and Leeds all fail to win

Eddie Howe will be under some pressure soon

It’s not just that they’re losing, it’s the manner

My best mate from where I live is from Middlesbrough and is a fan

Says Carrick had it all wrong this season and is refusing to use loans like last season and trying moneyball (whatever that is)

Think Luton should have had a penalty too

Same teams benefit though and the “small” teams are pushed away

There is an element of confirmation bias but it does seem that the likes of United, City and Liverpool are particularly favoured

In fairness to Howe they have had a hard run of fixtures but if results don't get better both here and in Europe it will be interesting to see how ruthless the owners are , after all executions are not unknown back in their native land.

BTW, Brighton showed that it was only a blip v West Ham and they will probably ruffle a few feathers with upcoming fixtures against some of last season's top clubs.
Another reminder regrettably of when we were on a par with them which really wasn't very long ago .

Having seen Palace are playing Wolves today, and I consider that to be one of the dullest PL fixtures this season, I wondered what is top of the least attractive fixtures. A game where it just doesn't feel like a PL fixture, you don't know many players, the result doesn't matter 1 bit to you etc.

I am going for Bournemouth Vs Wolves as this PL seasons very worst fixture.

Any combination of Luton, Bournemouth, Wolves and even Everton
Everton are only mildly interesting to see whether they can maintain their relegation push this season.
They always seem to run out of steam in that scenario
