Franchise FC
Winston Biscuit Having seen Palace are playing Wolves today, and I consider that to be one of the dullest PL fixtures this season, I wondered what is top of the least attractive fixtures. A game where it just doesn't feel like a PL fixture, you don't know many players, the result doesn't matter 1 bit to you etc.

I am going for Bournemouth Vs Wolves as this PL seasons very worst fixture.

Any combination of Luton, Bournemouth, Wolves and even Everton
Everton are only mildly interesting to see whether they can maintain their relegation push this season.
They always seem to run out of steam in that scenario

I feel any promoted club has a tiny element of wondering if they can beat an established team, Burnley and Shef Utd push that element somewhat as they are both so boring and dull. Everton are deffo interesting! They are this seasons true car crash story.

Burnley Vs Shef Utd would also be mindnumbingly uninteresting.

See you say that, but somehow they keep avoiding the drop despite being abject at times

I almost put in brackets 'every season'

My interest is Everton is only to see them fall apart every game and watch the rage on their fans faces as they loom closer to a life of playing the likes of Rotherham in a stadium that is not the one they care about

South Coast Royal
Franchise FC Eddie Howe will be under some pressure soon

It’s not just that they’re losing, it’s the manner

In fairness to Howe they have had a hard run of fixtures but if results don't get better both here and in Europe it will be interesting to see how ruthless the owners are , after all executions are not unknown back in their native land.

BTW, Brighton showed that it was only a blip v West Ham and they will probably ruffle a few feathers with upcoming fixtures against some of last season's top clubs.
Another reminder regrettably of when we were on a par with them which really wasn't very long ago .

Way to counter Brighton is to sit deep and counter. Fullbacks play so high up that the space is there. West Ham did it to great effect last week with Bowen and Antonio and similarly Everton last year when they won 5-1 there

Very unlikely to beat them going toe to toe with them. Picked off Newcastle with ease yesterday and perhaps City aside, they’ll “out-football” any other team - near both Arsenal and Liverpool 3-0 last season

Just read that Chelsea have 41 points from their last 38 league games

 (if true)

Arsenal Vs Man Utd coming up. I look forward to Sky once again showing us footage from around 25 years ago of a man pointing his finger towards another man in the tunnel before a game and making it out to be the most dramatic thing to have ever happened in sport

Liverpool go marching on with a comfortable stroll in the sun.
Not bad coverage by VIP although Schmeichel in the studio was a bit OTT about players standing in their line of sight when in this case the shot was right in the far corner and he would have had no chance to save it even with a clear view.

The issue will keep cropping up though with instances in the Brighton v Wolves and City v Fulham games which were more obvious.

A very cagey game between Arsenal and Man Utd in the first half.
2 goals, both good strikes, but neither keeper has yet made a save.

BTW, Ben White-surely he knows that Rashford has only got a right foot and yet he stands off and lets him come inside.
I wonder why Odegaard never made it at Real Madrid-he is such a good player but maybe he was just too young at the time as he is still only 24.

Ten Hag seems a tad deluded / bitter doesn’t he?

Garnacho not offside and Hojlund should have had a penalty....

Ok then.

The new Mourinho?

Wanted to be picked ahead of Kroos and Modric, didn't perform when he was picked ahead of them, and didn't want to wait to fight his way into the team.

No, they won a big game in injury time. Should they all just shake hands and walk off the pitch?
