Royal_jimmy I think the club are silly for keeping the executive boxes in the south west corner. Turn them into seating and our away end can be the same as Leicester's with away fans in the corner and C1871 can be right behind the goal with the segregation in the south stand removed

Clyde1998 I was at the Rangers-Ross County game last Wednesday. The Rangers equivalent behind the goal were highly impressive: singing for the whole ninety minutes; almost no repetition of songs; were loud throughout the game and the events on the pitch had no impact on their support.
Would be good if Club 1871 took notes from other teams to have a good atmosphere throughout the whole game.

With or without the obnoxious politics and the sectarian hatred?

I dunno I doubt the atmosphere at any club has ever been tangibly increased by a bout of note taking.
It's not so much that you can't teach this stuff, it's that you shouldn't have to.

It's more the point about focus on supporting the team - don't focus on away fans [in my example above, there were hardly an away fans to focus on], don't 'charge'/taunt the away fans when we score, keep supporting the game when the game's not going amazingly or a bit flat, etc.
I agree we shouldn't have to teach this sort of thing; it's more of an inspiration thing and looking at small improvements that could be made.

That's where C1871 started. But because it was so successful and gutted Y25/26, it dragged in all the little hoolies too. Especially when it was moved next to Y25/26 so they couldn't stay there and still give it large to the away fans. And none of them are going to go in the West.
I think the move across the South stand has probably not been for the better.

I can't remember hearing anything overtly political or sectarian from them. Can't imagine what a sectarian Reading supporter would be like though.
