Sutekh Shame they can't dominate like that in league games.

Presumably league teams field full strength squads, so the gap isn't so large?

I think we will dominate a few teams this season. Those bottom 3 look likely candidates. But I doubt we'll have it as easy as tonight again for a long time!

On another note, it does somewhat make a mockery of the cup. When you have to play so many cup games, it's no wonder teams don't take it seriously.

Hardly like we were full strength and we are competing in the same league as them as well, not as if we've just faced someone several divisions below us.

Re the cups, you'd think that would be more motivation, rather than less. This trophy is a great chance for Exeter to visit Wembley, not something that happens often for any lower league club (despite numerous play off appearances) and it's a chance of some silverware which every fan wants. A good cup run and/or a big tie can set a lower league club up for a good couple of seasons (also a handy player sale or two helps as well). In an environment where clubs struggle to survive, you'd think it would be of great importance to them.

You can question their team selection but their team was a lot younger than ours, both in age and relative experience, which at that age makes a huge difference and it showed. A 9-0 win cannot be sniffed at but let's not go too overboard.

SBWD- "We can't have a worse owner than Dai"

William Storey - "Hold my pint".

The thought of him being involved in any way in our club is fcuking scary.

Suppose that logic also shows how bloody well the team have done in the league when half our lads have barely played before this year then

Sutekh
Player eligibility

Each FL league club MUST play a minimum of four qualifying outfield players in their starting XI. A qualifying outfield player was one who met any of the following requirements:
  1. Any player who started the previous or following first-team fixture.
  2. Any player who is in the top 10 players at the club who has made the most starting appearances in league and domestic cup competitions this season.
  3. Any player with forty or more first-team starting appearances in their career, including International matches.
  4. Any player on loan from a Premier League club or any EFL Category One Academy club.
  5. A club can play any eligible goalkeeper in the competition.
  6. Any player out on a long loan term at a National League, National League North, or National League South team can play as long as the loaning team agree to allow the player to return for the match.
For invited teams (the U21 sides)

[/list]

As we are category 1 you’d think all of our players are qualifying players.

WestYorksRoyal Just give this squad and manager a chance to do their job without any off pitch drama and points deductions, and watch them take off. Is that too much to ask?

Probably

Our Starting XI average age was a year younger than theirs.

Sutekh Biggest ever win in a competitive game since doing Chesham Generals 11-0 in the FA Cup in 1901.

Didn't know that. The history books a!ways give the 10-2 Palace game

skipper Snowball!

When was the last time we scored 6???

Home to West Ham in The Premiership?

True story, father of my son's Newbury schoolfriend had just won 16/17 million
on the lottery.

Me and son had season tickets but we were off to the States
so we lent them (the winner-family) our ST's as they were West Ham fans

The rich bastard never even gave my son a fiver

Can't think why.
