Don't ask me what the starting eleven will be but I gather those that feel that 4-2-2-2 is no good will get their way tomorrow, look out for a change to 4-3-3 which I fear will make little difference.

Hoping for whatever result gets the managerial and ownership changes that the club needs the quickest.

Fair chance of it absolutely pissing down for the game which could make it even more fun/depressing

Yeah. I always get kickback here when I suggest in times like these that for the longer term good I prefer the sacrifice of a defeat. A lucky draw or win would just prolong the bs and be worse overall.

Having said that am v worried about a drop to L2 and more importantly our attractiveness to buyers.

Yeah whatever happens today is irrelevant really in the bigger picture as we need the change of ownership (ideally to someone with an idea of what they are doing) above all else and then we can try and move forward again.

I’m looking forward to this one. I think we should play 9-0-1. I’ll get to see Pompey twice in quick succession as I am working in Chesterfield next weekend and I am going to the FA Cup game up there.

Chesterfield will be more likely to beat them though.

We could do that and people would still say it’s a narrow 4-2-2-2

URZZZZ All this talk about formations lately but it’ll be tactical suicide if he perseveres with the 4-2-2-2 (no it isn’t 4-4-2, no matter what people argue). The organisation and structure is so far away from being good enough and we look susceptible to conceding almost every time the opposition attack. It’s something Portsmouth will obviously do their homework on and exploit.

Probably an element of players being better the less they play but would go with something like:

Button

Yiadom
Bindon
Abbey
NGW

Hutchinson

Azeez
Craig
Elliott
Mukairu

Smith

Pereira, Holmes, Rushesha, Wing, Camara, Vickers, Ballard

We have a big squad, it makes the constant use of the same underperforming players even more bewildering. Not convinced by Azeez but he did enough last night and we’re not exactly blessed for options out wide

I like this line up!

Where were you at the start of the season when I said 4-2-2-2 didn’t exist?

 Yiadom in surely means Bindon back where he should be?

It does, we just haven’t been playing (the narrow version of) it

433?
4312?
4321?

Dropping Abbey makes no sense unless he's taken a knock, but that (potential) shape is a start at least.

Also wish he'd show the dedication to Vickers that he does to Azeez.

Guess it’s more a 4-2-3-1 today, maybe even 4-3-2-1/ 4-3-3

Savage Wing Craig does look a bit more solid if they are all playing as fairly deep midfielders

This looks like more of a traditional 4-3-3. I think there is a suggestion that there is no injury to Abbey, just managing workload, which seems daft today against top of the league.

Could be anything. USelles has probably put Yiadom at CB for Abbey and still got Bindon RB.

He likes stats. Azeez is one of the best for stats. Except goals.
