Orion1871 You'se lot are rubbish, Brobs.
+1 Absolute dogshit
At one point in the game, we had more captains than shots on target
Also, at 3-0 Newcastle's xG was 0.38
ETH is deffo in trouble

I think we'd be happier if we took a couple of seasons off football

Just in regards to the xG quoted there, is that not a case for Ten Hag rather than against? Evidence that his side are not giving away quality chances to the opposition, therefore you could say that Newcastle may have just finished well on the day?
If Newcastle's xG was high, in accordance with other clubs, that would be more of a problem as it shows that the team is giving away chances that opposition have a better chance of scoring.
That's no defence (pun intended) of the situation. I also didn't watch the game/highlights either, just a thought.

South Coast Royal Figures are bandied about over Ten Hag winning more games in his first season than any other manager at that club.
That might well be the case but I thought I heard last night that Man Utd losing 8 games in the first 15 of a season is the worst ever, so which is more relevant for his managerial prospects?.

Orion1871 [The Times] Eddie Howe asked why he had brought on two attacking substitutes, Bruno Guimarães and Callum Wilson, only four minutes after his team had gone 3-0 up against Manchester United: "The intention was to give minutes to players, so they could use it as their training session”

You have conveniently forgotten Onana playing at being a boxer v Wolves resulting in the ref being demoted?

It's an absolute mess but don't think he should go. Pep or Klopp would be able to do fook all with these players.

Not sure about that.
They need a style of play embedded in - Klopp and Pep would at the very least introduce that.
Sure, they need to offload without a doubt, but Man Utd have very good individual players who are achieving (some) positive results with late late goals when playing poorly, but they are a mess because they just don't seem to have that identity that is a key facet of top teams.
ETH has a massive struggle on his hands but I'm not sure his demeanour is best suited to turning it around. Man management of millionaires is not straightforward and he doesn't seem to be a team builder with different attributes required to get the best out of a bunch of very different characters.

Yes, the top managers deserve their massive earnings because of their skill in handling and dealing with the whims of big ego players.
Klopp, Guardiola and Ancelotti have that skill but it looks as though ETH hasn't and just expects players at a top club on big money to be trusted to get on with the job-in the case of Man Utd that doesn't appear to be happening and long may that continue .
