Tottenham's DOF receives worldwide ban from FIFA for shenanigans while at Juventus, somewhat hampering his abilities to recruit a new manager

only thing that bothers me about Paratici is that people here pronounce his name 'para-teech-ee' but its meant to be pronounced 'pa-RAT-achi'

thats all I have.

lol at Spurs though, obv.

Vision Also worth bearing in mind that as far as Top flight football is concerned most of the Premier League era has had 4 fewer games played so over a 12 year career period thats 48 games fewer in which to get them. For someone with Kane"s record that equates to about 38 goals in total. That's just a rough guess , I've not done the maths so don't shoot me.

Shearer was a funny one. He'd already won a title so I think the lure of wearing Newcastle's iconic No9 and the chance of winning something with his boyhood club outweighed the almost guaranteed trophies that would come with signing for Man Utd. I doubt he regrets the choice too much.

Kane on the other hand may end up never winning anything but being a genuine one club man. I guess it depends what motivates you really. Different players will look at things differently.

I would think that being captain of your country would be something to look back on with greater pride than winning a few club team medals.

BTW on Spurs I was looking just now on some net spend figures in the transfer market from 2018 until and including last week as follows:-

Chelsea £730.24 million
Man Utd £610.8
Arsenal £561.96
Spurs £404.60
Man City £323.61
Liverpool £235.03

Some perspective on a number of things including the preconceived idea that Spurs/Levy don't spend much.

Net spend hides big spenders who also sell a lot of expensive players. If Man C spend tonnes and tonnes pre 2018 then they have a very expensive squad form which to generate sales.

No measure of spend is perfect, but any measure of spend that shows Spurs spending more than City is ridiculous

imagine going back 25 years and telling someone that Chelsea would spend three quarters of a billion pounds in transfers over 5 seasons only to be mid table

Probably a good thing, last time he tried a manager search it lasted months and they ended up with Nuno. Levy handled the Conte deal

It could be if Darren Moore's in the frame for the manager's job.

The perfect demonstration of why they are the glory team I least dislike.

I loved watching Spurs for most of Poch’s reign, now they are back - a superbly entertaining team.

Even Chelsea couldn't screw up a 2 man advantage for the last half hour or so!

Although they did try rather hard to do so
A hairline (pun intended) offside decision and a better Son finish and who knows

That's as engaged as I've been in a game as a 'neutral' for a long time. Ended up on my knees in front of the TV at Son's miss. Which was probably a bit dramatic, but yeah, what a result that might have been. He'll bury one like that next week.

BTW "what comes round goes round" is apt for the Spurs left-back who got Curtis Jones booked in the Liverpool game for tripping himself up.

Spurs (and Arsenal) have had their moment in the sun when deluded people started talking about them challenging for the title with it heading north again-you don't win titles in August or September.

I haven't watched a second of PL football for years but I reckon there may be a hint in who you're asking... is it Liverpool?
