Has to be Ndombele
Ndombele was only just over £55 million. Antony was £82 million. Both terrible buys, but Pépé at £72 million for Arsenal has got to be right up there.

I thought Pepe was abysmal (everything broke down when he got the ball as all he wanted to do was look flashy - Antony anyone?) but he did score 27 and 21 assists in 112 appearances, which I found very surprising.

think Anthony had 9/10 goals last year which isn't a total disaster just not £80Ms worth

There were times last season where he looked like the real deal, but now that defenders have got his most dangerous move sussed he looks frustrated, angry and like he doesn’t have the intelligence or application to find another way.

NathStPaul If they'd have scored more goals than Copenhagen they'd have won the game.

Royal Rother Rasmus Hojlund said, in all seriousness - "If you don't look at the result and only take the first 20 minutes into account we did quite well."

BRO_BOT Minimino, Grujic , Klavan , Ramsay , Melo , Kabak , Davies , Van der Berg didn't light up any trees

Franchise FC Didn’t watch the game last night, but just caught up with the highlights, expecting to see a particularly controversial incident involving Rashford.
Just seen it and ….. the very definition of endangering an opponent and he was stamping down with his studs up a yard away from the ball so clearly not attempting to play the ball
Harsh penalties (both of them) but don’t see how United can claim they were unfairly treated

I think the obvious points to make about those 8 signings is that they cost £34m in total, 2 were loans, 2 are 20 or younger and still at the club and 3 were sold for a profit with combined fees of £29m.

Interesting that the two live commentators said "red card" but 2 Ex-Man Utd veterans in the studio said that it was no worse than a yellow-what a surprise.
The two penalties involving the slap head - the first was a penalty but you can see why it might not have been given but the second was just a charity gift to Man Utd to go 3-2 up.
Fortunately, Man Utd's defence with that regular England starter commanding his area failed to stop Copenhagen scoring 2 more.
Galatasaray awaits for Ten Hag's brave (?) warriors.
So Brobot I guess last night's debacle was the fault of the Glazers as opposed to the manager or the players?

It's on the players as stated today on CL thread (iirc)
The live commentator whom Utd have shown the door to both him and his son.

it's just a stat I see used a fair bit to judge signings. It doesn't say the other signings weren't successful* or useful (you need a 3rd choice keeper) just that they weren't regular first-team players. As stated, one in two is good.
Any other measure starts to get even more subjective
