YorkshireRoyal99 What about Michael Gilkes potentially? Allows Hunt to continue with the U23's as such, Leigertwood with the U18's and Bowen in his role. I don't really know how much involvement Gilkes had in Ince's interim, but maybe someone that allows our current coaches to stay in their roles and develop that way. Only an alternative option I think though.

WestYorksRoyal The rumours at the time was that Dai and Pang refused to accept his resignation at first and he could have gone weeks earlier. But he hasn't confirmed that.

That figures, look at the idiot length of time Stam was left in charge too, then Ince. While you applaud their loyalty to giving managers time, you have to wonder why it's the same ****** mistakes being made over and over and no sign of learning anything. Thank god Dai is hopefully on the way out soon otherwise Selles could get several years here!

Dennis the Butler If Selles is doing the best he can under very trying circumstances here what was his excuse at Southampton ?

blythspartan I think IR eluded to this on the Arsenal thread. Our youngsters with a sprinkling of experience look like world beaters playing other teams U21s because they’ve had some league experience. However, that scenario is reversed when we play experienced League One teams.
I believe another manager with plenty of lower league experience should be able to get us winning enough games to survive this season, but I expect any change will be made too late.
I do think that this group of players with another year of league experience have the potential to become very good. That was obviously the aim of Bowen and co when they assembled the squad. I just hope we can get rid of Selles sooner rather than later.
