Those long balls in behind for Smith are such a waste, he's between two CBs, who aren't playing a particularly high line .

The ball has to be inch perfect and his first touch phenomenal under close pressure.

LOL.

Not a surprise. We've been so open to a direct ball forward and an overloaded defence all second half.

Selles isso shit at management.

Game there for the taking and he makes a defensive sub. Then shock horror we throw it away

Haven't seen it so no idea if Mbengue is to blame, but presumably changing your defence with the game in the balance disrupts the rhythm. And he does it every week.

We've missed too many chances/opportunities really, you can say the same about them in the second half but over the course of the game we've probably had the better openings overall. Getting into the right areas, but not ruthless enough in the final third.

Nothing to do with Mbengue.

Long ball down the middle, 4 on 4. Abbey challenges for the header with their striker. Bindon is slightly deeper, Cole has dropped slightly. Falls to him, bang, 20 odd yard shot past Button.

Oh good, he's taken off our biggest threat.

Bindon dives in rather than stands up his man, doesn't get there. Ball across Abbey doesn't step in to stop and striker is between Abbey and Yiadom to bury it.

This has essentially been the 4-2-2-2 error but in a different shape.

Losing the ball cheaply in their third or middle third too much. Barnsley have been straight back to front all game. We're constantly left with defenders upfield and no defensive screen.

No real criticism of the players for that. It's management.

Mola and Mukairu aren't any good but that's not the reason we lost, although if we had a better left side we might have scored more.

There's very little talent or quality in this team. There's sides in league two better than us. We huff and puff but this team are just shit and a bunch of perennial losers.

So, so, soft. Last year we were playing teams who were better than us and it showed. This year we match them, but when the game is in the balance with 15 minutes to go you know the outcome.

Yet again Ehib on so late. What has our big powerful hard working top scorer done wrong?
