Royal_jimmy There's very little talent or quality in this team.

This is one of the most obviously wrong things you've said. Which is impressive.

Really frustrating one that

Thought we were comfortably the better side, played all the football and had chance after chance down Azeez’ flank. Then inevitable we concede late

We look close to being a decent side but are so so soft

Barnsley one dimensional and not very good (good second goal mind you). Lump it to the quick big men up front. Really should have buried them

And Mukairu is terrible. May as well have played with 10. Mola was just about adequate but absolutely everything good came down our right side

I've watched virtually every game for at least the last three seasons, thanks.

On balance it looked an even game but we have no cutting edge or quality to open them up. Whereas they get their chances and take them. It's why we're going to league two.

Barnsley were nothing special but did what they needed to do.

Do worry that we just won’t win games when Smith has a bad day, which he did today. Not all his fault but worst I’ve seen him. Azeez was excellent

Azeez opened them up every time he got the ball. It was the final cross/run/finish that was lacking

Cambridge fans said he was streaky. Can't rely on him to bring his A game every week.

Their keeper didn't have a single save to make. Poor

Story of his season generally, he needs to be so much better, if he got that consistently correct he'd have a string of PL scouts watching him every game.

WestYorksRoyal Haven't seen it so no idea if Mbengue is to blame, but presumably changing your defence with the game in the balance disrupts the rhythm. And he does it every week.

Nothing to do with Mbengue.

Long ball down the middle, 4 on 4. Abbey challenges for the header with their striker. Bindon is slightly deeper, Cole has dropped slightly. Falls to him, bang, 20 odd yard shot past Button.

So not directly responsible, but doesn't change the fact that the backline benefits from stability and you need your defenders with the pace of the game. They don't have the luxury of getting up to speed like attackers. If you make an unnecessary change in the 70th minute, it's unlikely to positively change the game but can certainly harm you, which it has many times for us.

Back 4 subs should be reactive to injuries or somebody having a mare. Otherwise don't mess with it.

That’s not quite true. Can think of 4. But yes certainly turning a good position into a good chance was where we failed today

But where are the forwards running? When he’s bombing down are they making the right run to the right position? They don’t seem to

Don’t think it’s necessary his fault their crosses aren’t ending up in the back of the net

His final ball was actually decent today. Just needed Knibbs or Smith to turn one in.

The deciding factor was at 1-1 we made a negative sub, they made a positive sub. Their sub then scored and got an assist.

 at the bloke on BBCRB saying get Gerrard as manager.

"Hi Steven, it's Mark Bowen here. How'd you like to give up a trillion pounds a week in Saudi Arabia and come to Reading and not get paid."

Beggars belief that Mukairu was playing Champions League 12 months ago. That said, while i'm a big fan of Vickers, he totally failed to get into the game at all.
Mola's best game yet by far. Replacing him with Mbengue was totally unnecessary. He wasn't even puffed.
SeLLLLes is a classic tinkerman. He doesn't have a clue what he's doing but feels like he should be doing something. His game management is non-existent.

Yeah +1 to that

The mola sub was pointless. Put on Ehib and play 3 at the back or something, not just swap a LB who has played okish for a RB/CB

Except for the fact he did, including a world class save from a header in the first half.

Did the tennis ball protest change momentum away from Reading - Sky suggested they did? Do you think we'll get a stadium ban; would think EFL will be considering this as the protests happen evey game now?
