Weirdly, our high away attendance this season is more likely to be maintained if we go down than if we stay up.

Lived in Harrogate before i moved to Canada and watched Harrogate a fair bit in their non league days. A cozy little stadium which has had massive renovation since i watched them.
I think their current capacity is 3,800 with 600 travelling fans allowed on matchdays. Might just push a 1,000 at the other three lol :D.
Noticeably a lot more Northern teams in the 2nd Div so much further to travel as regards to the travel friendly 1 Div at present.

Drop down again and thats when it gets fun: Oxford City, Aldershot, Woking, Dorking, Eastleigh, Boreham Wood, Wealdstone, Dagenham and good old Maidenhead would now be our closest rivals :D :D

Ok numbers yesterday, 904 of us at Lincoln. It's not local but a new ground for many younger fans so thought even with Xmas we'd manage 1k. Atmosphere from us was good though

Good to see our numbers well in the 4 figures now, I'm sure the situation of the club might skew this, but hopefully this is a trend that we can continue after this whole shitshow is over and maybe I can go to games where there isn't 300 of us tucked away in a corner.

I think some of the issue with our followings in the Championship was due to us playing the same teams every season and those games being skewed towards the north - there's only so many times people can be bothered to go to Middlesbrough, Hull or Preston.

Exactly this, our current division is dominated by Southern and Midland teams whereas if we were to drop down again the current Div2 is much like the Chumpionship with a large majority of Northern teams. And then the Conference league has a large contingent of Southern based teams.
I still don't believe we will go down unless we go into administration, however, it would be interesting to see our away following in mostly new grounds for us but with a large amount of Northern teams. Would we be hit 1200 at the likes of Morecambe and Accrington!!

Presume prices are a bit cheaper in L1 too. Some crazy away prices in the Chump.

Accrington give 2500 to away fans. Morecambe give up to 2000 as well. Both are tiny clubs. I watched Morecambe play Carlisle a few years ago and half the stadium was Carlisle fans.

Yeah so I used to go nearly to every away match until about 2015. Then from then until last season I only did a few. Gets boring going to the same grounds every year. I bet if we spent 10 years away from the championship we'll take double what we've recently taken to Hull, Boro and Preston. Even QPR which is down the road we often don't sell out but reckon we will if we don't play them for a few seasons.

Looked on Transfer Mkt yesterday - we have 5th highest home average 5th highest capacity and 17th in terms of percentage full.

Half the grounds in League 1 cannot accommodate our current home average

We are a big club in L1

1516 of us at Cheltenham in the end. No league away game for a few weeks will hopefully help us sell out Pompey and Stevenage. I don't think many will bother for Wigan.

Wigan will probably the lowest weekend following of the season; I think we'll take more to Carlisle. Fleetwood on a Tuesday night will no doubt be the overall lowest.

We'll sell out Portsmouth and Oxford (which is the Saturday before Stevenage). Stevenage will hopefully sell out, but with it being a Tuesday night now it might be suppressed (I can see it being around 1,000 compared to an allocation of 1,400).
