Nothing posted on Twitter by Dellor or anyone else.

I was at the game so obvs don't know if anything was said on air but if it was I'd expect some twitter comment.

FWIW Bowen told fans in the away end he was doing all he could to sort a deal (this is third or fourth hand though)

Let's just start a Reading United phoenix club now and have done with it. Start now and could get membership of a local league in time to start for 24-25. Anything's better than letting this * carry on destroying whatever little hope there is every so often.

Either that or mix in with Reading City as they've already got a place in the pyramid.

It was on the BBCRB post match show. Someone said there will be more points deductions due to the deal falling through, and Dellor said that he understood that Genevra had pulled out because "the goalposts have changed." He did also say at the end that their interest was "waning," so there could still be a slight chance it still goes ahead.

Wish there was a way to force a comedian to sell on a buyer's terms once they start dicking about like this.

More or less condemns Reading to the fourth division after a 40 year absence.

Yeah, I heard from my source yesterday (who's been accurate so far this season) that the takeover is going nowhere. Dai is sabotaging every deal.

SBWD need to ramp up "the message".

There's not exactly much room left for ramping up.

Tennis ball stopages most home games
MPs involved and raising it in Parliament
Couple of thousand people march to game in protest
Tennis ball protest on live national TV
Digital display outside his london mansion, favourite casino, Parliament and FL headquarters.

At least very little legal that won't just make the situation worse for the club.

Should we get to a point near the end of the season and it's still not done and we're mathematically or all but mathematically down, then maybe getting games abandoned would be an option, but it seems completely counterproductive now and one of the things that would alienate the players and staff who otherwise seem pretty onboard.

I don't think there's much that SBWD or any fans can do to convince Dai to sell if he has people in front of him offering him money and he mucks about with the deal.

Unless he has a very close confidant who can advise him properly or one of the bidders gives in to his moving goalposts we're stuffed.

Why doesn’t dai just sell up and walk away

What is he getting out of this? The longer it drags on and the worse our situation becomes the less attractive we become

If he doesn't choose to sell it's checkmate. SBWD has been a success but we're out of moves.

He's more likely a Swindon or Oxford fan from what I've seen.

It's increasingly looking like he'd rather walk away with nothing than have someone get us for a perceived low price and then show up what a terrible owner he was by instantly improving us.

I didn't buy into that before because even £10m - £20m isn't insignificant to guy who's sunk a fifth of his original fortune into us, has frozen assets and is trying to sell property.

But increasingly, with things going nowhere, and there seeming few alternatives I don't see much other explanation.

Maybe Dai has had a change of heart, falling in love with us again, freed up some of his money and going to underpin us all again.

If he doesn't sell the club he will still own the stadium won't he. Not sure if he will own the training ground. I fully expect him to pull all funding for RFC next season, and as the club will not be able to prove they have funding to see them through the season, the club will have to resign from the EFL. He will then have a stadium where he can put on concerts etc, If he does still own the training ground I am sure he will find another use for it, or sell it. It would be his way of saying "Up yours, all you fans who wanted me out".

I do fear the club hollowing out quite quickly if it becomes apparent he's staying. Selles will stay as he won't get a better offer, but the playing staff won't want to renew contracts, while non playing staff will surely think there are better career opportunities elsewhere. I'd include Bowen and Carey in this who I think have done a decent job in difficult circumstances. It may even include legends like Hunt and Leigertwood who start to question the value of their work while the club is being ruined at the top. We have a lot of good non playing staff at the club who are probably holding out for better times under a new owner. Take away that hope and watch them leave.
