Proud of those fans today that stood their ground and that they didn't whimper off.
It had to be done. I remember Blackpool doing the same and it eventually ended up contributing to the Indian owners selling up...,.so here's hoping.

No doubt about that, but in comparison to Blackpool (read up on it) this man is a behemoth in comparison to their previous owners.

As one BBCRB caller pointed out, Asians shouldn't be allowed to own football clubs. No exceptions.

What I don't understand is why he doesn't accept an appropriate offer now, which will include him as the primary secured creditor and run with that. Liquidation will mean he loses everything.

As the main creditor, he'd be first in line when the assets get sold off.

Whether he'd get more liquidating than a potential buyer would offer is a different matter.

If he kept us limping along on the bare minimum he'd get his £1 million rental fee every year, but it'd take a good few years for that to add up to significant sum.

The 'Club' is worth effectively nothing in comparison (especially right now). The Stadium is only relevant if it could generate income. Would it? Who would want it/want to use it regularly? £1M rental fee or whatever is a pie in the sky figure therefore. He could be done with it all and sell it back to the Thais who own the vicinity. What then, demolition? Nice new, shiny rail station on the doorstep. Prime, sort after real estate opportunity?........

The club owns the training ground, and the players, so they could be sold off.

The stadium only really has value in two scenarios. Either in an outright sale to someone buying the club, or to bring in rent if he decides to keep the club running on the bare minimum.

It seems that building on the stadium site would be tricky in terms of planning applications, so it's not as valuable to a developer as people might think.

I love how just before making this comment, he had also stated that he couldn’t say too much as he was on the radio. As though that opinion was significantly more toned down compared to what he actually wanted to say.

On balance yes. However I did however drive 3+ hours for the privilege but then I knew there was a risk.

Was that actually Schards?

Well oxf*rd him if so.

I travelled from another 200 miles further down the m4 (Bristol) so my opinion must hold more weight. That’s how it works, right?

NathStPaul It had to happen. I don't think it should keep happening but I think a stand had to be made.

I feel sorry for the Port Vale fans, they have been extremely supportive of out plight. It would be a good idea for a representative of our supporters group to get in touch with Port Vale's supporters to see if there is a charitable organisation that they are linked to or are currently supporting. We of course can't compensate the Vale fans personally so maybe a bit of a fundraiser for a local Stoke cause would be a nice touch.

Personally, whilst I support fans protesting in whichever way they feel they need to, I don't agree with what happened today.

What was the aim? If it was to make Dai sell up, then has that happened? Will it happen because of today? I suggest the answer is no.

What is far more likely is that the club will be punished, and if that punishment makes it more likely that we get relegated and so less attractive for someone to buy as a result, then I would argue today was counter-productive.

I want Dai Yonnge gone the same as everyone; I'm just not sure today's events were the best way of trying to achieve that goal.

Just my opinion.

No, I just got confused between the Venkys and the Oystens. But my point still stands......no need to be vesicious.
I stand by my point on the pitch invasion they had at Blackpool.

haven’t Blackburn got over the ‘Venky’ thing since?

Still on their pitchside hoardings, still ran by them a long time since their manager Steve Keane being shouted out.
