Group A: Côte d'Ivoire; Nigeria; Equatorial Guinea; Guinea-Bissau

Group B: Egypt; Ghana; Cape Verde; Mozambique

Group C: Senegal; Cameroon; Guinea, Gambia

Group D: Algeria; Burkina Faso; Mauritania; Angola

Group E: Tunisia; Mali; South Africa; Namibia

Group F: Morocco. DR Congo, Zambia; Tanzania

Top two in each group go through, plus the four best third-placed sides

Given Egypt's failure to beat Mozambique, presume Cape Verde are now top of the group.

my favourite moment so far was the Guinea-Bissau defender blasting the ball out to concede a corner 3 minutes into the game under no pressure whatsoever

Senegal v Gambia (2pm) and Cameroon v Guinea today (5pm). Both live on SKY. Ben Elliott is with Cameroon so that might well be worth a watch.

Based on yesterday's games, a much better tournament than last time. Far too much time wasting previously but maybe the addition of VAR might be helping(?!)

Will definitely keep watching.

It has Zaire 1974 vibes about it.

Sky coverage is shambolic. No commentary on the Senegal game then no picture either after about 25 minutes and still off approaching half time. Perhaps this is why you don't get world cups in Africa.

Apart from the one in 2010 and the one that's coming up in 2030?

South Africa is just playing at being in Africa and Morocco will probably get to host about 3 games that's if FIFA's stupid idea for the 2030 tournament ever actually happens.

Tunisia 0-1 Namibia

Rank outsiders (115 in the world) turning over a tournament favourite in the 88th minute.

Couldn't decide whether the Namibian keeper was having as good a game as the commentators reckoned or if Tunisia were just rubbish in front of goal.

I've got Mali as the dark horses. Think Ivory Coast will probs win on home soil though.

It is almost as if some of the big names just want to get the fcuk out of there at the group stages and get back to club football.

Up the Equatorials.
Equatorial Guinea 3-0 up and the hosts could be out at the group stage
