I agree. Clever, sensible and fair move by the EFL. If only they'd been that clever and sensible a few years ago.

The suspended deduction should act as a very effective deterrent going forwards, unless the shyte really hits the fan.

Had they deducted points straight away, there would have been little to lose in terms of further disruptive protests.
