Liverpool have got 3 or 4 very good young players coming through. Admittedly, Jones is 23 but Elliott is still only 20. Bradley has come in and done well and Ben Doak is extremely highly rated. There's also LB Owen Beck who made his debut against Bournemouth but is getting rave reviews in the SPL with Dundee.

If they spend big on anyone this summer, it will be a CB imo.

Bobby Clark too, who came on last night. Lee Clark's son, I hadn't realised.

And the best of the lot is Bajcetic, who is just back in training after injury.

Another starting to get very good reviews is Wales u19 (though he is still eligible for England and Cyprus) international striker Lewis Koumas (son of Jason). He was on the bench for Liverpool's last game in Europe in December and has been banging goals in for their Academy for fun (3 in their 7-1 Youth Cup destruction of Arsenal for example).

And yes CB's are high on the agenda for the club in the summer with a lot of rumoured interest in the likes of Todibo, Branthwaite, Hincapie and Inacio.

All of a sudden I feel every single one of my 52 years, unless Owen is a star performer in their U7s team.

Also looked great against Arsenal the other week. Looks a tidy player

Still only 20 too. Seems more than good enough to be a back-up to Trent atm.

The talk doing the rounds up here is that Trent pushes forward into midfield and Bradley takes his place at RB.

That would probably work better. Trent's always been lacking defensively and has always seemed more like a RM than a RB, tbf.

Similar at 42, noticing an advert for a documentary about the football career of Michael Owen's son.

A lot of footballers' sons playing these days. Our own Charlie Savage, Elliott Lee at Wrexham, Marcos Thuram. Ian Wright's grandson is on the books at Stoke! Definitely makes me feel old.

This should be tempered slightly by the fact that footballers seems to have kids at a much younger age than normals.

That was one hell of a soft penalty in the Wolves v United game.

Jordan Ibe made his debut for Ebbsfleet in the conference, which is his first match he has played since December 2020

Made 1 appearance for Derby in Dec 2020 then asked to have his contract cancelled as he was dealing with personal issues including depression. Took time out the game then joined a Turkish club but never played for them. Left them and took some more time out of the game. Now playing for Ebbsfleet.

The Wilder bounce isn’t quite so fizzy at Bramall Lane

Next season is yours Chris

ArsenaLOL :!:

Honestly, Liverpool turn up, riddled with players injured left, right and centre plus what seems to be a tactically inept gameplan and they're still level at HT without getting a shot on target

Makes up for the basketball that Odeargod was playing at Anfield I suppose.
