Brogue
WestYorksRoyal Decent win for Exeter at Bristol Rovers last night. All teams seem to be showing a bit of fight apart from Fleetwood and Carlisle who are surely done. I think quite a high points total may be needed. 50 used to be the Championship benchmark, but add in the extra relegation spot and the closeness of teams, we could be looking at 55 as the magic number this season.

Bristol Rovers Exeter is a local derby, form guides don't tend to matter in them sort of games i suspect thats just a one off tbh

It's still a 90-minute drive, with the barren wasteland also sometimes called Somerset between them. I've never known a Bristol fan to mention Exeter (admittedly, I rarely met Gasheads). Not sure how the Grecians feel about Bristol, of course.

Proper new manager bounce then bust. They were flying when we played them.

Noticed we're only four points behind them now. They're suddenly in the relegation picture - as is every from Wigan (11th) down. On their form, they're in serious trouble.

Anyone seen Carlisle's solitary goal against Bolton? Referee had an absolute shocked. Ball goes out of play, 10 yards from half way line, attacker picks up a spare multi ball down towards corner flag, cross and scored. Just dont know how he allowed that to happen. Not good. Fortunately had no impact on the result.

Saw that. Clear advantage gained from not taking the throw in at the correct position. Never seen something as extreme as that be allowed by a referee.

Worth noting ahead of the weekend, Oxford host Tom McIntyre's Portsmouth this evening aiming to avoid a 3rd straight defeat and 4th in 6 games.

Bruising defeat with a couple of injuries please. Perhaps TMac could take a tactics red card on debut.

Referee did have a shocker and so did the lino on the same side that caused Jon Dadi's goal to be chalked off on the basis of a non-existent offside. Bolton are miles better with Jon Dadi in the side but he only seems to get called on after 70+mins. Summat odd going on imo.

Sounds like Charlton may be appointing Nathan Jones. Good appointment if so, which is a short as they were plummeting.

Results going in our favour today. Cheltenham's revival seems to be running out of steam, poor result at home to Wycombe.

They lost again today (albeit to Derby). Suddenly our game against them on Saturday could be a relegation six pointer!

Appointment confirmed. And he gets a week on the training ground to prepare for Saturday. Winnable game just became tricky.

It's a sad day when there are no Nathan Jones jokes after he's mentioned...
