Knibbs strikes me as a bit of a barometer for the team. If he plays well, we play well, although whether that's down to him lifting the team or the team lifting him, I really don't know.

Yeah, that's a good call.

Good result. Puts Pompey and the last minute Fleetwood equaliser behind us. On to Shrewsbury!

NathStPaul This bloke on the BBC Berks commentary is superior to Dellor in every way.

Weirdly I was thinking the exact opposite.

I couldnt stand the pronunciations of Afeez, Mbengway, and Mawla.

He also got way overexcited a few times when a shot went miles over / wide.

1 win down. 4 more wins to go, starting Saturday when I hope we burry Shrewsbury after throwing it away at their place.

Tbh I hadn’t looked at the table before the game - that really was a huge 3 points

Again the big 4 doing what they do best and Mbengue/Bindon seems to be working

Excellent night all round

He's not a Wing or Azeez type player who can make something out of nothing but if we get him involved in the game, we usually play better. He does work hard as well

And is always moving off the ball. Sort of player to get plenty of tap ins and scrappy finishes as they're always in the box when the ball comes in.

I'd rather have points than the games in hand. Fitness should become easier to manage too, we don't have many midweek games left now. Congestion may get to Cheltenham and Port Vale.

Why have we played so many more games?

Is it because we are rubbish at cups?

Mentioned on the Rivals thread, Port Vale have got 1 point from 6 games since the game got abandoned. They got 8 from the 6 games prior to that.

Massive result especially with teams right below us having some games in hand. The players are expending so much energy to get us these points for safety and should be applauded for that. Another huge one on Saturday; win that and will be even more doable.

On a side note: PV is gonna struggle imo to get the points needed to stay up, just not the best of sides even with 3 games in hand on us.

Part of it yeah, some teams below/above us got further in the cups so had to rearrange their fixtures. Course some got some games postponed also. Sucks but all we can do is stay consistent and hope teams below us don't gain a lot of points with their games in hand.

The table is starting to look much better now!! If we can look after our home games then we're pretty much safe and mid-table....plus after the Derby game i think we're done for midweek games other than the holiday games.
Smith must be due a goal sometime soon which should be the start of one of his scoring runs and would be good timing.

Good points. Our home form has been amazing, keep that up and I am pretty stress free about us staying up and heck as you say even finishing mid-table. F their 4 point deduction!

There have been a few games postponed because of the weather.

Just noticed as well that our goal difference is far superior to all of the bottom four teams and most below us, so in essence that is worth another point :D :D
