Winston Biscuit Chesterfield, effectively promoted back to the EFL anyway due to goal diff, but 1 point tonight against Halifax would seal it

Would be quite an early promotion for the NL?
Interesting* if you look at the play-off sides - with the exception of Barnet (and Aldershot if you see them as the same club) the rest would be new clubs to the EFL: Bromley, Gateshead, Solihull Moors, Altrincham.

Dirk Gently It's the downs in the National League that I find most fascinating.
Oxford City in 24th place are as good as doomed, but the next ten points from 42 to 52 span 14 teams, right up to Rochdale in 1oth place, who are only eight points outside the play-offs. In fact, ten teams span the five points between 23rd place (42 points) and 14th place (47 points) - all to play for with six or seven matches left.
Maidenhead didn't do themselves any favours last weekend getting thumped at Dagenham & Redbridge.

Gateshead were in the football league back in the 50s but your overall point is interesting.

Dirk Gently For years and years I thought they were called Solihull Motors. It was a real revelation just a couple of seasons ago when I discovered the truth.![]()
