Elliott is having a dreadful game. Poor touch, poor decisions, poor passing, head down. Has to come off at HT.

Smith quite flat footed at times. Not a lot in midfield going forward. Azeez needs to play the early cross sometimes, he has the space and his fullback is defending quite well.

Pereira and Bindon having excellent games. Savage doing well. Mola seems to be playing in midfield leaving us wide open at RB.

We've had one good chance to their two or three. Need to improve, but for Pereira we're losing this.

Kelv definitely needs on.

Elliott is definitely a talent but he's nowhere near the level needed currently. He should be a fringe player at most with an eye to showing what he can do with a bit more confidence and a pre season under his belt. Doesn't help that his best position is CAM which Knibbs has sewn up.

Kelvin has pushed Reading up to the heady heighths of 16th  now a mere 5 points behind Exeter, Bristol Rovers and Wycombe (though, of course Reading actually have a point more than those clubs).

Current L1 scores with 20-25 minutes to go...

Barnsley 0-1 Cambridge
Derby 1-0 Blackpool
Exeter 1-0 Charlton
Fleetwood 0-1 Cheltenham
Lincoln 0-0 Orient
Peterborough 1-3 Carlisle
Port Vale 2-0 Bristol Rovers
Reading 1-0 Northampton
Shrewsbury 0-1 Oxford
Stevenage 0-0 Bolton
Wigan 1-1 Burton
Wycombe 1-2 Portsmouth

Another Reading goal without conceding will give them a GD of 0

Abrefa on for Dorsett, cue the usual defensive shifting about

Dellor and co bemoaning the team not using Azeez…Azeez then being profligate for the last 10 minutes (until a half decent shot just now).

And the Charlton equaliser now means Reading are 17th, a point behind them. But does mean a Bolton miracle on Monday might lift Reading up a couple of places in the table.

Get in. Never looked like scoring in that 2nd half, so great result in the end.

Won by a single moment of quality like many games at this level. Big game from Pereira. We'd probably be safe already had he started the season as no.1.
