Weird game in many ways especially if you look at the stats as we equalled the amount of shots of Bolton and they only had 1 more on target than us but they probably had higher quality chances.
Can't do much about a 25 yarder in the top corner but the ball should have just been cleared quicker, Dorsett getting a knock didn't help as the usual plan seemed to be to roll it back to him to clear but the five mins either side of half time were the killer - getting back to 1-1 really knocked Bolton, who probably were getting the feeling it was going to be one of those days as they hadn't found a second. Mbengue was playing so well, he clearly thought he could do no wrong so slid in for a tackle that didn't need to be made, just hold the player wide and the danger goes. 3rd was too easy in the 2nd but we were already pushing forward.
Change of formation really put us on the front foot and think the offside for Wareham's "goal" was very tight but probably right, poss one that goes your way as a home side. Bolton were rocking a bit but not getting a second when we were all over them meant we were always susceptible to letting in a 4th, which killed the game.
Overall, not concerned in the slightest, we would have all taken 3 points this weekend and we got those on Friday and with most teams below us also losing it is, on balance, a good day.
Annoying thing is, if Dai had just paid the bills on time, we'd be level on points with 12th now and the discussion would simply be about if we can squeeze a top half finish and how that could set us up for a real tilt at play-offs or even promotion next year under new owners - instead, we are still working out the maths for staying up.
