WestYorksRoyal Clear handball. Absolute howler from the ref. Surely should have been a red card too?

Was it really at Port Vale, 8 months ago, that Reading last had a penalty in a league game?
Seems to be a season of refereeing incompetence across all 4 divisions. Thankfully at least we don't have VAR here to make things worse.

Sutekh Today's referee only joined the league list in December after relocating from the US where, last season, he took charge of 21 games in the MLS showing 85 yellow cards and no red cards. He was most card-happy in the match between Orlando City and Columbus Crew (2-1) when he showed 9 yellow cards.
Therefore presume he is on the lenient side, anyway he can't be worse than the general tripe of officials we've been suffering this season.
This will be his 17th FL game and his first for both Reading and Lincoln.

VAR would have fixed that error. And several others that have denied us a penalty.

And VAR would have ruined the experience for us as fans.
I’ll happily endure a bunch of errors each season for knowing I can properly celebrate when it hits the back of the net.

JR Dorsett has to be one of the laziest players to put on a Reading shirt.
Mola on please

Mola's actually been pretty good at LB. After starting the season terribly. Poor at RB, but solid LB.
I would have started him over Dorsett because their RB is pretty nippy and Dorsett is getting a bit exposed.

Do Reading actually have a specialist left back (excl. NGW)?
