Reading Football Club are pleased to announce the extension of its technical partnership with Macron, cementing a long-term relationship.
The partnership with Macron began ahead of the 2019-20 season, with the club and brand collaborating over a number of innovative and creative shirt designs over the past five years.
As part of the partnership, Macron will continue to supply the club’s home, away and goalkeeper kits – as well as training range and technical items.
The Club and Macron are committed to the sustainability statements of recent years – committing to the use of Macron Eco fabrics over the course of this agreement. Macron’s Eco Fabric is derived entirely from recycled plastic and played a crucial role in the club’s recent #ShowYourStripes campaign alongside the University of Reading.
"Our Partnership with Reading has been based on close collaboration and shared values, therefore it’s natural for us to continue our journey together,” declared Gianluca Pavanello, CEO of Macron.
"There are many ideas and opportunities from both sides to develop our relationship further and we look forward to supporting the club and, where possible, communicating inspiring messages through our range of garments.”
Tim Kilpatrick, Reading FC’s Head of Commercial, said: “Our partnership with Macron has been a huge success to date, therefore we are delighted to sign a new long-term agreement.
“Through Macron’s custom and creative approach, we have been able to create high quality, inspiring product ranges which not only deliver the best possible sportswear for our playing staff and coaches, but also inspire emotion, behaviours and hopefully pride. This has been showcased via our 2021-22 anniversary kits, our 2022-23 climate stripes design and our recent 2023-24 range which pays homage to our town and our community. We are thankful for Macron’s close collaboration and look forward to working together for years to come.”

Clyde1998 Does anyone have any knowledge of Macron's sizing?
I've not bought a football shirt since Puma were our suppliers and I was a Medium with them; a more recent Castore training top I have is a Small and feels looser than the Puma tops. I always feel the size charts companies give is a bit inaccurate.

I bought the Purple shirt this season & had to get an XXL, I'm usually a L.

Very much so. Macron have come up with good designs since they took the job over, will be interesting to see what they come up with this time.
