A big 'triangle' of games in the Championship. One of Hull and Coventry will likely finish 7th in the Championship - they play each other tonight, before Ipswich play each of them consecutively ahead of the final round of games.

Leeds losing 2-0 to QPR. That result would send Leicester up and would surely make it unlikely Leeds would go up automatically.

Crikey. What a final day this must have been

Buckie Thistle told yesterday they don't meet the requirement to join the Scotch Football League, so the authorities decided no one is getting promoted from the Highland League. Mental.

3-0 now. Ipswich need 5 points from their final 3 to guarantee promotion.

More intriguing is that Buckie Thistle had their 2 fixtures against Strathspey rearranged for the last couple of weeks of the season. Strathspey had no players so fielded 2 scratch teams of trialists for the games and lost by a combined 13-1. Buckie won the league on goal difference by 2. However, they forgot to apply for their bronze licence and can't now play in the playoff.

The Brechin chairman is not happy as they successfully applied for their bronze licence.

Seems mad not to put the next best team (Brechin) forward for the play offs. By not allowing anyone else the chance of promotion, the league are basically saying the season was totally pointless. May as well have not even played it.

If Brechin finished 15 points back then maybe there's an arguement for not putting anyone forward but not when they lost out on goal difference.

The Brechin chairman's arguement about the Strathspey games is maybe clutching at straws but it is a shambles. I also think it's nicer to have a Highland League team rather than another faceless central belt team from a Glasgow satellite town.

East Kilbride must be pissing themselves laughing, although the consensus among Scottish football fans is that this season, they're all pretty weak compared to the League 2 teams.

What a disgusting farce, is the HL run by Kilbride supporters? There should be some way for Brechin to appeal to an independant tribunal or something.

The latest theory is that Buckie Thistle would rather be a big fish in a little pond and challenging for titles rather than a small fish in a small pond so have conveniently "forgotten' to work towards the bronze licence because they don't want to be in the League.

Bromley v Solihull for promotion to the EFL - will mean a brand new league club but guess if Bromley win they will need to rip up the 4G pitch and stick a grass one down.

Neither club particularly well supported (both average under 2k this year) so will be interesting* to see how empty Wembley is at the weekend.

Lol. What's his beef with Port Vale?

He was late to a team dinner once because he thought he was getting a lift

Then tweeted something and they dropped him and find him 2 weeks wages

So he had a strop and left :|

Looking at that table brought back some memories.
Some years ago I stayed at a friend's sister's house in Keith with a view to playing some of the golf courses along that coast.
From that table there were 4 courses that we played; Keith,Nairn, Lossiemouth and Buckie.

At Nairn it was so windy that a flag flew out of one of the holes.
At Lossiemouth (good course) typhoon jets made a racket and when coming in to land they were so close that the pilots waved.

At Buckie there were 4 of us; me and the missus plus our daughter and her husband.
When we were having a drink afterwards we asked the girls, who played off different tees, whether they were affected by the squealing pigs.
"What squealing pigs?" they said.

For a couple of holes Rob and I were playing from very close to the cliff top and when teeing off at one of them we heard this noisy squealing from down below where there was a massive abattoir -poor old pigs on their way to that piggery in the sky.
So not idyllic.
Buckie is a small town, population of 9000 or so , therefore trying to compete even in the lowest all-Scotland league would be difficult on many counts.

I guess the opposition might have been put off playing there if they also could hear those pigs squealing in the distance. :D

Ipswich won last night at Cov so only need a point in their last game to secure promotion to the Prem. LOLeeds look to be joining the list of clubs to achieve 90+ points and not get promoted.

Much as it's fun laughing at Leeds, I still fancy them in the play offs. They will likely face a WBA side who have lost their last 3, and Southampton are not in great form either. Norwich are the ones to watch, but fundamentally I think Leeds are a better team than all 3, even if that guarantees nothing.
