AthleticoSpizz(other than often getting the gig to comment and co-present on the mens team matches, as is the Beebs current MO, she’s even got the (female footballer speciality) dropping her ‘T’s from every word……..well erm,,,,off to a ‘tee’)Snowflake RoyalCrusader Royal
Well the first team don’t have just 2 contracted players and all the other recent talk has been about the women having to drop right down the leagues.
And Charlie Eacourt has nothing to do with the men's team.

At the risk of upsetting the Waitrose residents of Reading, is that really a female footballer thing or just a reflection of where she comes from/was brought up? Reading dialect has been compared to that of West London and dropped 'T' s can be found there.

I'm told ... Reading are unable to sign anyone- including free agents or loans- until we know where we stand with the ownership saga... EFL decision

Sutekh So it would appear the new interest in taking the club on do not wish to operate a women's team at all, so this sounds like a real good way to start a relationship - but then if the idiot is still refusing to play ball properly then cutting every "extraneous" expense possible might give them more "wriggle" room in dealing with him.
At least all wages and tax have been paid for June.
Not asking for names or any monetary specifics but some general information about what exactly is going on and where things stand between the parties would be helpful as the no news treatment just leads to spiralling negative rumours everywhere and this is the last thing you want at this time of year. Just something to help try and stop the spiralling negativity that we have at the moment.
By the way isn't NH suspended from football activities now?

Mid Sussex Royal Deadline for submitting financials is tomorrow,. even after allowing for our current situation. 22/23 still not yet submitted according to Kieran McGuire.
Assume we can only be punished by transfer embargo (which we are already under)

Someone pointed out a while ago on here that as the club is in the process being sold the deadline to post accounts might be able to be postponed until the sale is completed. Anyway we shall see.

There's a legal requirement to submit annual accounts. There's zero benefit to withholding them. Unless the auditors are unwilling to sign them off due to going concern issues. How much future funding is secured?

Stranded So accounts not filed in time it appears, after using up a 3 month extension.
Club will now be fined GBP 150 and we are the only club in the 92 not to have submitted accounts.

This isn't the way I see it. I saw it that they didn't want the womens team being sold to a 3rd party as they then couldn't operate it in the future.
This way, although it is terrible news now, the womens team remains part of the wider football club and when the ownership and money troubles have been resolved it can be invested in again and rebuild itself. That is not possible if it is owned by a 3rd party.
I could however be wide of the mark.

It does feel like any new owner wants the club to remain as one and hence downgrading the Womens team to the minimum possible but still operating at a low level if preferable to them that having the Women running as a separate club.
Leaves a lot of questions not least, where will they play. Can't see Reading Women v Woodley United Women being at the SCL somehow and Bearwood not ideal for spectators - though not impossible.
