To be fair. Portugal did with the Euros in 2016 after only winning 1 game in normal time.

Doesn't scream great tournament, just very hard to beat.

Well Modric would have been at the height of his powers, similar Peresic, Raketic. They were certainly a good side when they knocked us out just two years later

They were ranked 27th going into the 2016 tournament but moved to 15th following that. Moved up to 4th following the 2018 WC
