Real tactical masterclass substitutes changing the game in this one.

First half, England absolutely boss it with high tempo, positive pass and move, the Dutch too passive and stand off.

Forced subsitution for the Dutch leads to a tactical change that stiffens their midfield.

England now can't find the space and passes going into the second half. Dutch much tighter and more proactive in the press. Weghorst starts bullying Stones. They start to dominate.

Southgate makes a change to bring on more energy and have the option to run in behind with Watkins late on, that doesn't exist with Kane. Bit of a loose ball is pounced on, Watkins is on the shoulder, super first touch and finish and it's won in the dying seconds.
