St Pauli You gotta feel for her.
Whenever there’s a VAR decision they turn on the mic in whatever cupboard she’s locked in, and ask her to give an immediate comment on the decision.
Obviously out of some sort of ref solidarity she usually goes with the decision of the on field ref, apparently forgetting that the main reason VAR decisions come up is where the on field ref has got something ‘wrong’. So she usually comes out with some bold statement because it’s her job to make something bold and decisive quickly, and from a place of authority, only to be completely contradicted by the on field ref and VAR immediately after she’s just said it.
A terrible idea from ITV and I hope they don’t continue with it.

She's correctly called every single VAR decision, either way, I've seen except for the England penalty.
And her view there was that it wasn't a clear and obvious error (which pre-supposes the ref saw the incident properly in the first place. She doesn't have access to the comms between VAR and ref.
If VAR and Ref are in communication and establish the ref hasn't seen something, then they establish a clear error.
Not to mention the VAR didn't make the decision, they referred the ref to a screen to watch it and he made the decision.

Well I’ve only seen her get stuff wrong.

I'm with Ian on this one, I think she's actually been quite a good addition and last night was the first one I'd seen where she'd got it "wrong". But then I don't suppose any of us were expecting that to be given as a penalty in all honesty, so I don't have a problem with her not expecting the VAR referral.

Low blow. Can’t handle being wrong on the penalty you need to resort to name calling? Outrageous.
