The entire betting industry uses some variation of the Ranking system to price up games and wager millions

So oxf*rd what.

We are higher ranked than Spain so not quite sure how the bookies are pricing this. They're obvs gonna put Spain as favs

Spain clearly have a favourite’s chance on what we’ve seen, but weight of money might dictate otherwise at the bookies.

Spain currently broadly 4/6, England 6/5.

Spain now 8/11 and 13/10 to win inside 90 minutes.

In the 1996 Euro's, England played Switzerland (drew with them 1-1 after 90 mins), The Netherlands (won 4-1) and Spain, who we beat on penalties.........

After wanting to see more exciting football from England, our route to victory here is to kill the game as a spectacle. Spain have a great midfield and exciting wingers and will hurt us in an open game. Rodri, Ruiz, Olmo, Williams and Yamal is as good as it gets in midfield (just imagine Pedri wasn't injured).

If we can make it cagey, I back us to sneak the win late on or in ET. While their starting XI is great, our bench is incomparable with anyone else at this tournament, so keep it dull for 75 minutes then change things late on.

The English media is certainly bigging up this game .
I wonder if Franchise can tell us how things are in Spain-are they just thinking it could be just yet another World Cup or Euros for them?

BTW, have we really suffered the many years of "hurt" that we keep hearing about?
Does it hurt that much if one of our sports teams never wins anything?

Locally, the natives are buzzing, but we’re nowhere near Madrid or Barcelona where i would expect the ‘real’ buzz ti be

Our ‘city’ only has c20,000 residents

I’ve seen a few headlines about an unfit Kane insisting on playing.
Anyone seen this from any reputable source (‘cos I am not clicking on those dodgy ads) ?

Interesting little article about how Spain view the Euro 96 quarter final and how a win tomorrow would be seen as "revenge" for a game they thought they should have won.

Should switch to the English language version automatically.

Am watching the game in Reading, no one in Wales gives a f/ck.

Apart from promotional indoor and outdoor decor in the pubs you’d never know there was an international tournament going on.

Anyway, this has created rather awkward decision for me. The train options for getting home are rather limited. There is a 2212 train, which will be useless to me unless Spain a winning 3:0 with 10-15 minutes to go.

There is a 0020 train that gets me home for 630. Which is a possibility but will lead to an awful day at work.

Obviously an England win is my preferred option, but the commiseration of England getting smashed will be me not having to work tomorrow hanging and with 0 hours sleep.

About a week after that game I met Hernando Hierro, the Spanish captain, on a beach in Majorca.
We had a laugh about me , after being there for a week, having a better suntan than him but of course he had been spending his time in England during our Summer!!

The player always looked a bit on the chubby side on the pitch but, as with most footballers, he was quite skinny.
Also, as with most footballers, he had a stunning missus as did his mate Butragueno.

I suspect that at that time he might not have thought that within a few years he would be enjoying the sights of Bolton.
