NathStPaul Would have thought he'd be a bit too long in the tooth to be a football manager.

Sanguine In more home nations manager scenes - the new Republic of Ireland manager is the excellently named Heimir Hallgrimsson, former coach of Iceland, and more recently Jamaica. Hallgrimsson is known for having continued his role as a local dentist even after taking the job with the Iceland national team.

South Coast Royal USA have sacked their manager.
With only 2 years left till the World Cup in their own country having now failed in the Copa America this is a tough gig for whoever takes it as expectations will inevitably be high.

NathStPaul Surprised you haven't suggested Klopp takes the job.

I can see him taking up a back office position of some kind. You see a lot of ex players/managers being given relative figurehead positions over here that have very few actual responsibilites.
So I can see him taking up such a position at Dortmund or possibly more likely Mainz, as he is building a new house in Wiesbaden which is just over the river from there.

Mr Angry I am amazed no-one mentioned that Raith Rovers sacked their manager - after 1 game of the season - and 2 months after leading them to play off success.

"Results and performances since the turn of the year have fallen short of expectations". So why are they sacking him now? Surely if it's been an issue since the start of the year, he would've been sacked before the season started.

It's not just one game, there's the four games Raith played in the Scottish League Cup in July which they failed to progress from (despite winning 2 plus a 3rd on penalties). More than justified then
