Winston Biscuit Wrexham & Birmingham have requested for one of their League 1 matches against each other next season to be moved to the US

EFL have rejected the request.

At some stage, there might be enough American owners to force this through

Obvs, we then have to burn their grounds to the floor

Mansfield take the lead against Barnsley with a wonderful volley by Stephen Quinn from about twenty yards.

Been entirely one-way traffic so far (in Mansfield’s favour); Mansfield had a great goal disallowed for offside before it.

Edit: 2-0 Mansfield.

I just learned that the charity shield had to change name to the community shield because such little money was going to charity that it failed to meet standards outlined in UK charity law as they could not inform ticket holders how charities would benefit.

Unfortunate place for the sentence to be truncated.

She's awful to listen to. Just a pretty face to bump Sky's female quota.

Nice to see Rooney's still got his magic.

He seems to be a genuinely nice chap. He did alright at Derby. Feel a bit sorry for him, tbh. You've got the likes of Lampard gurning his way into big jobs, and Rooney keeps plugging away in the EFL. But it isn't working.

Luton 1-4 Burnley

I really hope all 3 relegated teams stay down this season. 3 'new' teams going up would be nice too (Preston, Plymouth & Bristol City would be the ultimate in that regard)

I'd be Vic Reeves thigh-rubbing all summer if that trio came up. I love a 'new' team in the top flight.

He's very "nice" towards his granny, or rather to somebody else's granny.
Is this yet another example of a good player not necessarily becoming a good manager (see also Bobby Charlton, Stevie Gerrard, Lampard etc plus many others)?

When players are just naturally gifted they probably don't need to think too much about the game whereas those less gifted as players, e.g.
Mourinho, Wenger, Klopp, even Redknapp, turn out to be good managers because they had to think more about the game and how to get the best out of players as well as so many other things that go into good management

We hear that a lot and I am just not convinced tbh. I think its a nice simple answer to a complex question, possibly a question that has no real answer.

I think its just as easy to pick out top players who became top coaches and bad coaches, and low level players who became top coaches and bad coaches

Then they get to be pundits. We know their level of analysis is limited (they were poor managers) but we're expected to listen to them
